The "Wings of Sacred Dawn" are one of the most useless exotics so far. In pvp or pve standing still in the air is way more like a handycap as an advantage. It looks cool and the idea is good but in reality this exotic is just very bad. So this is my rework idea: First of all the top tree dawn blade need some buffs its so bad in comparison to buttom tree. I mean bottum tree have seeking dawn blade shots which creates a fire wave and gives super energy back on kills which extends the duration by a good amount. Also it have the Phoenix dive. Buttom tree have an icarus dash with a cooldown and can shoot fight while slowly gliding through the air. The cooldown from the dash should be removed. Instead the dash should get refreshed everyt time you touch the ground, like the normal jump. So the top tree would get a way better movement which can compensate the disadvantage a litle bit that the Super have no seeking flame wave shoots. Now to the exotic item: Tome of Dawn: Improved Icarus Dash and in air movement while Dawn Blade is active. Increases the amount of in air Dashes before you need to refresh the Dashes with touching the ground from 1 to 2. While Dawn blade is active the Icarus Dash costs less Super energy, goes further (like a nova warp blink) and restores a small amount of health. (ca. 1/3 of the health that "Wormhusk Crown" restores). Also grants very high speed and strong directional control while Dawn blade is active (combined and improved Strafe + burst glide). This would make the top tree and this exotic so much better and would grant the top tree a great movement which can compensate the bad hitbox from the Super shoots and would give also a reason for playing this subclass. The wings still look very cool it would look and feel great if you would make a shot flap with the firewings if you use your dash, also it would looks great if this wings would be active over the duration from the Super so everyone can see that you are wearing this exotic. (If you spam the dash in the super it would looks like you are flying around).
