This is not a fix. I tried it 10 times and nothing.
Maybe if they stopped being lazy and implement an ACTUAL list of open fireteams that people can join like every other competent game with such events, this wouldn't be a problem in the first place.
Bungie, if you ever wondered why Destiny 2 isn't as popular as it could be, things like this is why. Everything you do, you do it half-assed with every possible corner cut.

That doesn't prove it's not working. You could enter 10 times any other day of any other week and also not get matched with anyone. It takes people actually playing it to get matched.

Yes, because the "Event Active" tag when you hover over the place means something other than the event being active.
