Things I miss from Destiny 1

I'm logging back into it after probably 6 months since my last time. Just thought I'd jot down some things I love about it that I feel could be cool to see brought back to either D2 or 3. Some are purely nostalgia, while others are serious changes, and some are a little of both. Feel free to leave yours too. -The old Tower -Mission select markers on the Planet Maps -Old Planet Maps -The old Planets. Cosmodrome, The Moon, Venus, Mars, and The Dreadnaught were all beautiful and intricate in their own ways (Plaguelands too I guess). Would love to see these spaces return if the future is aimed larger scale. -The old Strikes -Heroic Strike rewards being useful sometimes -Skeleton Keys (Just a definite way to get a strike specific item) -The old Raids -Grimoire Cards -The Progress (Quests) Screen (Having all the quests relegated to tiny squares in our inventory really bugs me. Miss having the big display with intricate designs and detail woven into the text. You had your bounties, Vendor Ranks, and Record Books (Which could easily be swapped for Triumphs) here too. It was just nice to have everything in its own screen. -Old Exotics (I would love to see everything brought back, give us the full Toybox to play around in) -Seeing Flavor Text from our Inventory -The OG Swords (RIP Raze-Lighter, I'll never forgive Shaxx) -Subclass perk based Stats (Was cool to build it however you wanted, and have your armor and perks do other stuff. RIP Intellect, Discipline, Strength) -Chroma (Was never utilized fully, could've been cool.) -Artifacts -Sparrow Horns -SRL (First SRL/Dawning was probably the most fun I've ever had with Destiny. Hope it makes a return) -Facepalm Emote/Thriller Dance/Slow Clap -Xur being relevant and interesting (Useful Exotics, different currencies, misc stuff) -Ammo Synthesis -Arc Blade -Good Ward of Dawn -Taken King Soundtrack -Enemy themed armor -Good load times (Legit just loaded into the tower in 30 seconds) -Bosses that weren't just "Wait or kill ads until I'm not invincible" (Even "You need to get a buff to damage" was better than just sitting there, clearing out the room over and over because their shield pops up and extends playtime) -Dead Ghosts (If lore collectibles continue to be as plentiful as Forsaken I'll be a happy dude) -Tower Parkour -Reasonable Infusion Costs (250 glimmer, 10 weapon parts, 1 mote of light, 3 legendary marks) -Missions exploring Crucible Maps -Plotlines like Lysander and the Concordat I think that's all for now. Bungie's doing good at making the game feel like home again, hopefully some of this stuff will at least be considered for the future. It could be one huge, amazing experience.

 • Yes d1 was good, it appealed to more players because there was so much going on and things to do, now everything feels a little plain and layed out flat before us, with things locked behind rng alone, sometimes it’s pretty sad.
