GAME BREAKING BUG

Ok, I'm absolutely fuming right now, I just paid the premium £60 for the forsaken special edition thinking that I want to continue the storyline in destiny 2. After doing so I completed the first mission on mercury for the curse of Osiris and I'm now onto the second mission (forgot its name) in the
EDZ
, BUT and here's the BUT I'm unable to play this mission since every time no matter what I've done to try to fix this as soon as I press E the game crashes every -blam!-ing time EVERYTIME. I'm so angry that I paid the £60 and now I cant even play what I paid for... EDIT: what i mean about pressing E is that everytime I attempt to enter a mission or cutscene the game locks up For reference my specs are as follows: CPU: I7 7700k RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengence 3200Mhz GPU: 1060 6GB Motherboard: AsRock 4 Extreme. If anyone can shed any light on my issue I will be forever in your debt. EVEN IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE UP VOTE THIS SO PEOPLE SEE IT. Thank you, Dunlokk.

  • Just a thought, but if it was a bug in the game wouldn't it affect everyone playing the PC version of the game. I'm not a PC player of the game, but I'm am a retired PC support specialist. That said, have you tried another keyboard. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a keyboard malfunction. Also, make sure you don't have any keyboard macros enabled.

    • Hi. Thanks for your report. You may want to follow the below steps, which might help with your issue:
1. Completely uninstall both Destiny 2 and the Battle.net application 2. Delete the following local cache/settings directories:
- %PROGRAMDATA%\Battle.net – %APPDATA%\Battle.net – %LOCALAPPDATA%\Battle.net – %APPDATA%\Bungie\DestinyPC *WARNING* Deleting these will cause you to lose persisted settings, such as logged in users, keybinds and graphics settings in Destiny, etc. The directory names above are actual paths that can be used in Windows Explorer. For example, if you enter "%PROGRAMDATA%" in the Windows Explorer address bar, it will automatically take you to C:\ProgramData (default), which is a hidden directory.
3. Reinstall the Battle.net app and Destiny 2
• Just out of curiosity did you let the game download all in one go or did you pause it at times? Also not sure if you have tried a repair or not just a suggestion. Lastly try checking your task manager at the time of the crash you can have task manager in front of the game while playing to see if it is your system locking up or the game.
