    • Personally, I’m entirely dissatisfied because of how uneven matches seem to be. I personally don’t have any problems with clans and pre-made fireteams getting thrown into quickplay games, but if they’re going to be pitted up against randoms then at least let said randoms actually be around the same skill level so it’s not just another pubstomp with one person hitting a twice-as-high score as the rest of their entire team. I’ve seen way too many losses because of this. That aside, I imagine you could write a college paper on all the issues the Competitive playlist has. They should’ve just kept the Fireteam requirements from the old Trials to help smooth things out beforehand.

    • Above average player and I think QP is fine but comp is where the balance needs to happen I get stomped sometimes too, it’s still casual and there’s nothing wrong with sweating every once in a while. If comp had TRUE SBMM and actually matched players of equal/near equal skill it would be the consistent experience people are looking for. Right now it’s possible to queue in comp as a 1100 glory player and play against 4 5500s. QP is casual (no SBMM) Comp is sweaty (SBMM)

        I've expressed my disgust for the current matchmaking system multiple times now. I've even come up with a system that could [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249677952?sort=0&page=0]potentially fix quickplay[/url] at least, but it keeps getting overlooked.

        At this point I severely do not like it. Just because even with the ttk being reduced it's still has teamshooting. They should just bring back D1 maps, learn from them, then make ones similar to the style and effort those had to bring. I'd even love a D1 map playlist.

        • The more I play the more I hate it. Bungie -blam!-ed up by making the broadsword quest this long. I no longer wish to set foot in crucible ever again, after I obtain the broadsword. It's not fun at all.

        • Yesterday, started, not landed into, a match in regular QP...there were 3 of us vs. 6 of them (not a stacked team). Obviously, we put up a good scrap, but, the odds were against us; including the usual NotF / Luna / Malfeasance / etc. There absolutely needs to be separate tiers for a) Casual players, b) Players who do NOT (yet) have Luna / Malfeasance), i.e., those working on the quest...how is it fair that players using regular HCs are up against (stacked - often) teams sporting NotFs / Luna's / Bygones / Go Figs / etc.) - it just ain't (a) fair (fight); and, finally, c) Hardcore players sporting NotFs / Luna's / etc., duking it out to their hearts' content! So many Casual players who want to earn those pinnacle weapons, but, maybe due to time restraints (IRL) and whatnot, just can't put the hours in that those with more time on their hands are able to do. Make it fair for the majority. Make it a fair fight for us all. At the moment, it's anything but.

        • Im average at crucible. 15 kills an average game possibly 27 a high kill game. I dont mind solo queing and coming up against teams of two who are better than me and i can occasionally get the upper hand of. That kind of match making improves my game and makes for close score engagments. But when i solo que and come up against teams of 4 rocking Lunas Howl and mercy us with 90 kills to 12...theres a problem with your match making. From day one i believed match making should stay the same, just make quickplay a solo que environment

          • IDK if I actually replied yet so I'll just go for it here. -Solos vs. Teams shouldn't really be a thing in Quickplay. If solos do go against a team, there should be a little bit more incentive to not just hop games. -I don't play comp in any game because solo queue is hell more often than not, but I think it should be slightly tighter than it currently is for ranks matching, where teams are matched by highest rank. It wouldn't solve smurfing, though. I would just have matchmaking region-locked if that's possible on Peer to Peer, so no games outside of your part of the world/country. -SBMM should be a factor in QP, but at the end of the day, I would rather get shit-stomped on 20 ping over having an even game at 80+ I'd say dedicated servers would be necessary, but Activision wouldn't greenlight those in a million years, not even CoD has full dedi's as far as I know.

              It isn't so hyper-competitive for a casual mode that I can use whatever I want and do relatively well because I earned that ability with my skills. You guys need to support a matchmaking preference system instead of raving for SBMM exclusively so it can just be how you want. Think about others who just want to relax for once.

              • Until people realize what SBMM actually does they need to not be listened to. The system is NOT designed to make like-skilled players play against each other. It pits players with players based on 50% win ratios and nothing further. However the ones screwed are the Top1% as they now have to carry .5's in order to even win. 1% will not solo que like they can now, and crucible would see less playtime overall, and people would run into MORE Stack6 teams. SBMM WILL MATCH YOU VS 1% PLAYERS.... in turn the MM will take longer, be longer, and you will continue to think there is something wrong when CBMM would have connected you faster, allowed you to play without sweating every game, WAY less lag, and you can solo que. .5's will have to sweat to win in SBMM just like a 2.0 will. Its not designed to put like-skilled players vs each other... it is designed to make teams win 50% of the time. In other words SBMM does nothing but make EVERYONE have to sweat to win as you will either have to carry your team vs higher skill players OR you will have to play with a party of 6. Guess what happens now?

                      No. I think leaving SBMM out of quickplay is hurting the mode more than it's 'helping' the higher tier people that are for it being off. Mid to low tier players are moving away from it while also not going Comp because it's too well....competitive. Mid to lower tier people need to be matched to 'near' level people in order to [u]have fun[/u]. (Is this not what gaming is about). Their desire to improve their game is on them to decide how they want to do that. That's when they can [u]decide themselves[/u] to move to Comp where the game modes were designed to be more competitive. In that light I think SBMM should be tweaked, not off, in Comp to widen the skill gap that it looks at. They should then also leave Fireteams together in Comp so if good teams want to go on a tear they can. That's the mode where they should be showing off not Quickplay. Sorry but the price of being that good means you should be playing your peers not stomping the lowers. It's selfish and elitist to think otherwise. Quickplay should be 'casual pvp' for [u]everyone[/u] not just top tier. Complaints about MM times with SMBB on are irrelevant when it comes to the enjoyment of the mode itself. It's on Bungie to deal with those MM times, not ruin the mode for a large portion of the player base simply to alleviate MM time.

                        • Comp is fine Qp is perfect Punishing good players should not be a goal, as for everyone complaining about "stacks" (meaning fellow players who invite their friends - in a social game....) the solution is to make a solo only playlist. Which was in d1 and was usually dead because most dont care if they're facing a team or not.

                          • [b][i][u] HECK TO THE NAW. [/u][/i][/b] Quickplay is totally exploitative! Teams against solos! Sweats against vastly lesser players! The system exploits the weak for the upper echelons “casual no sweat” matches. Vast majority of my matches are hopeless blowouts. Most of my friends have quit or are wavering. Doesn’t feel fun. The fair thing to do would be Rise of Iron style matchmaking. 1. Choice of weekly modes 2. Players gathered connection first 3. Skill distributed relatively equal between teams.

                                • The only people who are happy with matchmaking are top 1% players and streamers as they can complete matches without any hassle and brag about how much kills they have. Bungie needs to learn that streamers only care about their own pocket. They don't care about the health of the game , they don't care about other players As long as they are getting paid by stupid gamers and youtube ,all is good for streamers.
