Ugh, never start an argument with “it’s not as good”. It’s a bad place to start, and the way you portray your reasoning shows the basis of your argument is purely about feelings.
Skipped the rest of your post because of this.
Fundamentally destiny 2 is better than 1, the game is runs better, looks better and is open to more platforms, which is why activision would’ve expected higher sales, and I guarantee you didn’t bring that up in your slanderous misinformed post.
Upon lightly reading over your post and select comments, seeing these people agree with you and calling this a “well written post” disgusts me.
This post is entirely based upon your personal biased opinion, you clearly have an affliction to destiny 1, an incredibly flawed game. You raise it to some impossible standard. It took redeem 19 hours to complete one of the most difficult, conflicting raids. People like you are impossible to argue against because of your sickening mob mentality, it barely illicit’s a response.

Then after the vanilla D2 release (which had way more story than vanilla D1), I find out that both of the following expansions introduce new destinations and reveal more lore that was never covered in D1. Then Forsaken- [i]the awarded best dlc of the year[/i] was released. And D2 isn't even complete yet- 2 more annual passes and one more large dlc to go. Not to mention the destinations are beautiful in this game.

Destiny 2 is incredibly more optimised than destiny 1 was, runs at much higher resolutions and is open to the pc market place, all these things are facts, and support my claims.

D1 wasen't perfect - I have to remind folks of this too - but I think with D2, fans had to wait too long to get here and they are exhausted from the rhetoric about roadmaps, etc - and look, things still aren't in a playable state in some areas of the game.. And you can't blame someone for having an opinion...yours is no better than mine or his - you are implying that you are somehow more right because you leave your emotions out of it - and then go on about how upset you are about his post lol... Biased opinions are what forums are for...

You must be on Bungie's staff or Activision's staff. Get your head out of the sand. The masses are the ones that can make or break a games success. All the players that quit are the smart ones. Not true. There are plenty of really good games that don't sell well do to poor marketing and releasing along side some major title. TitanFall 2 is a great game that came out along side Battle Field 1 and it hurt the sales. Back on PS3, Puppeteer is an amazing game nobody knows about because it wasn't marketed. These are just two examples and their are plenty of others like this out there. Bungie has faced their fair share of problems and that is why the sales are poor. The game itself is great and not too many devs could pull off what they have. I dare you find a game that has better gun play and the mechanics are sound. Your enjoyment and opinion of the game is why you say it is a shit game, but I would call it that.

First of all, of course it's about feelings. Everything on here is an opinion, just like your poorly worded response. It runs better? Since you didn't specify your metric or platform, no, it doesn't. It still runs like crap in PvE and PvP, as you would expect a game running on an engine about as old as you are. In some ways it runs worse, with more disconnections and slower load times. It looks better? It freaking should considering they're not limited by last gen consoles and have years of experience learning how to get the most out of current systems. However, it BARELY looks better. I'm sure PC looks better but that should be a given. If you're basing your assessment on PC D2's visuals, framerate, loading, netcode, etc., you're ignoring more than two-third's of players' experiences. Of course sales expectations include adding a third platform. So what? That would mean that under performing is even worse, as they now have three avenues of revenue as opposed to two. If Activision had numbers that were remotely positive they would be bragging, and they have not disclosed any sales figures, just earnings (which includes MTX revenue and does not include units sold). Slanderous? Get a dictionary. You're not only misinformed as to the meaning of the word, but you're beyond misinformed considering you're commenting on something you didn't even read. For every improvement D2 made it ditched almost every improvement made to D1 over the years and screwed up or removed something else, and it just so happens that those things were what the vast majority of players cared most about. I play on pc, I’ve also played on PS4. The game looks fantastic on both. Obviously both OP’s post and my response are both based on opinion and feelings, but his are so clearly biased against the game and bungie it makes me laugh at the stupidity. Destiny 2 was one of the most sold games of 2017 by the way, Destiny’s playerbase has always only consisted of dedicated players, hence why the playerbase had been the same for months.
