I think this is a console problem since it affects me every single match yet whenever I watch someone on PC playing they appear to be completely unaffected by this issue, could be wrong though.

Same problem persists on PC mote is dropped right at you, and it does not picking up, you have to run away a bit, and then return to pick it up.
