Been saying it since vanilla
If old gear from D1 comes back behind free events, such as icebreaker in Y3 which came behind dawning or the rumored thunderlord now I have no problem, it's a free bone toss from bungie and its cool.
However behind paid for dlc? It absolutely should not happen and it's pretty despicable bungie do it and sad some community members dont hold them accountable for it.
Not only are you repurchasing things you already paid for, they're [u]replacing[/u] what could have been new exotics.
TDB - d1s smallest dlc, launched with more new exotics then either warmind or coo.
Mida, chaperone, jade rabbit, ace, queenbreaker, lord of wolves, euros, hardlight, sleeper, spindle, telesto all should have been free event add ons. [b]NOT[/b] resold to us.
Others like crimson which is a hand cannon red death, huckleberry which is bad juju or riskrunner which is zhalo are debatable.

One thing.. How is Huckleberry comparable to the bad juju. Juju gave you tons of super energy, didn't need to be reloaded, and was a fully auto pulse. Last time i checked, pulse rifles aren't in anyway similar to smgs. Honestly they should bring back the bad juju cause it'd be great for pve and possibly pvp.

the closest thing to bad juju is the iron Banner Pulse Rifle with full auto.... me and my bro hunted that weapon for the last two banners almost didn't think that roll existed. It's a lot weaker than juju. What a great weapon setup that is hobbled by pretty garbage stats

Yeah nothing in this game is comparable to bad juju to me. Pulse rifles may be similar, exotics may be similar, and the roles may be the exact same. But anything other than the bad juju is simply not the bad juju. I hope it returns at some point. I liked how it looked and it was very good gun.

On it's own huckleberry will give you some ammo back to the mag but once you upgrade it each kill fully refills the mag just like juju, it's got rampage just like juju got with string of curses and each double kill drops an orb which fills your super up fast. Just because they change the weapon type (like they did with crimson to red death or riskrunner to zhalo doesn't make it new, the unique thing about exotics are their special perk - which in these cases are pretty much the same. Idk bad juju was a better overall weapon. I have the Huckleberry catalyst and its good but i wouldn't compare it to bad juju just because you rarely need to reload it. If they bring it back it'll most likely be in a dlc amoung other returning and like every other returning exotic. Bungie rarely introduces exotics for free, so i wouldn't count on that for really anything besides the few holiday events that may have exotics tied to them

there is nothing good about the huckleberry. It starts till fire faster which is a bootleg Soros attribute, but then it has slow loading and there's not enough bullets in the chamber for it to do what it special is supposed to be? Overall the gun is only passable
