Speak for yourself. They shouldn't have taken away what we had acquired in D1 at all. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy finding new weapons and armor, but they should have built off of what was there already in order to provide more player choice rather than force us all to use the new stuff by hitting the big ol' reset button and giving the middle finger to their veteran players.
I'm personally happy to see the OG weapons and armor coming back. I had a great and super fun loadout that fit my playstyle perfectly before it was taken away for a bullshit reason.

You mean the Red War?

I'm actually speaking for everyone - let me clarify and say that I'm not against bringing back old weapons. I was never able to get a Vex montaplast so would be cool to see what all the hubbub was about. That said, we're paying more and more year by year we should get new gear. So bringing back old stuff is great, but they should be available to ALL players. It should definitely not be tied to a paid DLC update whatsoever. That would literally be selling us the same content again.

Edited by Wrath_and_Fury: 11/1/2018 3:21:23 PMI will concede that point. Your original post just made it sound like you didn't want any of the old stuff coming back which I was clearly disagreeing with. Thanks for the clarification. It still bugs me that coincidentally every single Guardian in existence left all of their things in the vault. I mean come on. Not one Guardian had the presence of mind to leave stashes around the solar system? Only Cayde?

Thunderlord is available to all players, it's a fotl quest.

thats good. what about Queens breaker and lord of wolves? what about the upcoming last word?

I may be the only one, but i sure didn't buy forsaken for an exotic weapon. I bought it for the new content like strikes, story, new locations, crucible, and the raid. Actual activities not a few guns. Sure having more returning exotics than brand new ones is lazy on bungie's part but it sure doesn't make me regret buying the dlc. Hopefully they learn because i feel like most of the community is bothered by it.

i hear you, but.... this is a gun game. guns and abilities is directly how you interact with the world. we all love new worlds and areas, for sure
-
Yeah guns are obviously important and the lack of new unique guns kinda makes it boring ig. I see why that could ruin the dlc/game for you.
-
Agreed. We would have wound up cleaning house in the vault in our own good time as new weapons emerged and kept what we really liked from D1.
