Lightweight and Aggressive Swords for EVERYONE
Self-explanatory; these archetypes are locked to Hunters and Titans respectively. Wether the class-exclusives become available to all, or Bungie makes all new swords with these archetypes, I’d like to see some variety on my Warlock and I know many others would

And even for those classes, Hunters don't have a new lightweight sword. It's still quickfang or bust (which is still a lot of fun, btw). In general, we need more new loot in the game.

I actually posted about this same thing a week or two ago! Agree agree agree! Let us have the power fantasy please. I think they should make a sword for the raid maybe that is one or the other, since the dreaming city one is already a standard sword. Then maybe a spider bounty, IB, or gambit one that is the opposite. Say lightweight raid sword and heavy iron banner one. That way between reverie dawn and the raid and pvp we can earn late game rewards of all three types. Just like they do with all other weapon archetypes.

2 RepliesWell aggressive would needs a speed buff in pvp. Like strongest sword in the game is Crown Splitter for PvE but PVP all swords are one hit and Crown Splitter is the slowest sword. So slow a titan will get killed trying to take ONE SWING at a enemy player in sword range.

Most definitely, and I don't even use swords that much. Variety is the spice of loot. Heck, add 1 handed melee weapons and other types (maces, hammers, axes, polearms). Go one step further: add kinetic and energy slot Melee weapons (perhaps the 1 handers?). Rolling in with a Sword in hand wouldn't be much if any different than someone with a Shotgun or Fusion.

1 ReplySo much this! I'm really sick of the fact that swords basically have only one archetype and like four trait perks. Getting a new sword right now is boring, because I know it's not going to change up my play style in any way.

4 RepliesI said this in a post months ago and hate the way bungie fell into this “samaurai were the only people to swing a sword quickly” mentality. There should be fast swords for every class and added to the secondary slot also. Just lower the ammo count for the heavy swords or powered swords? Needing ammo to activate the heavy field around the sword and then have normal swords with less ammo and dealing slightly less damage.
