Opened it up this morning to find the BIOS wasn’t booting up properly. As any good tech expert I tried doing a factory reset after everything else wouldn’t work and then re-install the OS and everything else. However when I went into command print I learned that even the recovery partition was fried so my computer was totally bricked.
Edit:When I called the amazon tech expert the second I said the recovery partition was missing he was all like “uhh uhhhh.... let me see what I can do here. I can refund your money if you send us the laptop back”. Lmao even he knew it was -blam!-ed.
Good thing amazon let me return the damn thing. $800 for a pile of shit. DO NOT BUY MSI.

My brother had luck with an Lenovo laptop. The battery cr_ped out after a few years but apart from swapping that out, it didn't ever have problems as far as I recall.

Their desktop motherboards are more reliable anyways.

Edited by isaac13d: 10/20/2018 3:21:33 AMYou couldn't reformat the recovery partition? Edit: was the whole hard disk fried? Try reformatting? Could've taken the opportunity to upgrade the hard drive. Edit 2: Either way you'd have to shell out for a Windows license.
