It being permanent would kinda suck.
Let's be real here.
What would it drop?
Blues and tokens 99% of the time
And it'll have a mediocre armor set.
And 2 or 3 reskinned weapons that will suck unless you get the perfect roll.
I don't wanna bash the game or anything but i think we need to be realistic

I’ve already gotten two exotics from doing it tho

I've gotten more exotics from thrall in a gambit match than I have from strikes. However, farming thrall aren't necessarily the best way to get exotics

Considering the speed at which it can be farmed, anything else would break the game. ...and the community would lose interest in it. But if you make it a monthly event like Iron Banner or Faction Rally, you can award better loot, and the event would go back on the shelf before the community got bored with it.
