Wow you are a simple creature. First off you talked to Holiday to start the quest. Hawthorne runs clan bounties and Holiday runs the chaperone quest in the Foresaken DLC. Do you even play this game? Granted this is just a festival but they basically took the infinate forest and turned the -blam!-ing lights off. The top reward is a year 1 D2 weapon that is reskinned.
It's ok to be content with the festival. But to praise them for more recycled content it comes across like your a bungie boot lickers.
Yes there is a ton of stuff to do but it's nothing new. It's more repetitive bullshit.
Sincerely I am happy for you that you are enjoying yourself but it's clear you don't really play considering you mistakenly identified the wrong vendors/quest givers and then completely got it wrong about not interacting with Hawthorne (whom majority of D2 players see daily) and Holiday who gave us the chaperone quest.
If you are a player please just stop with the praising of piss poor work.
Bungie make the damn interns play the game and stop forcing them to post here

Did you play D1 FotL? Because this is way better. I get why you could say that the haunted forest is 'recycled content' but its really just a better version of the infinite forest. It gave them a reason to use the forest finally. Before this, the forest was just used for the worst campaign missions ever and 3 repetitive strikes. I just hate the stupid bounties.

1. It's FREE 2. Rewards are NOT pay-walled like the last FotL. You earn a free event every time you level up (beyond 50). Buying addtitional engrams is optional. 3. The weapon may be a reskin, but it's (for some) a max light weapon that is relatively easy to obtain. 4. It may use old content (Infinite Forest) but it's done in a way that most find enjoy. 5. Rewards are on a knock-out list. 6. Did I mention it's FREE? The only issue I have is that it's running at the same as IB.

if engrams are for sale that's pay walled ,running it along side ib makes it feel busy that's lazy.

How do you figure it is free? Did you buy the game? Sorry but it's a half assed effort with absolutely 0 thought or effort. Example if you run 1 15 min haunted forest you can get 7 soul frags multiply that times 5 you get 35. The fact that they put the bounty 5 strikes wearing the mask for 1 soul frag is proof enough. No effort. It's one thing to say I enjoyed it it's another to sit there and try to justify how great it is. It's 1 thing to simply say "I am enjoying it it's whatever" that's personal preference no one can argue personal preference. It's another to say it's free because it's not you can't play this game unless you buy it. Tired of recycled content, to me it seems like Bungie executives are playing their own game of "how little effort they can invest and still turn a profit"

Thats not true at all, Destiny 2 was free for September PS Plus. Thats when I got it, and many others Im sure so yea, it is free.

People still have to pay money for it regardless if they don't get it free, that logic is saying this deal price on these headphones are the permanent sale price when you bought it for that cheap price. You have to pay for DLC just like the rest of us and the game is ftp or even close to that! You are terrible this event succeeded!

Lol, no. It just means Im smart enough to wait and not buy everything brand new. However because I did get back into the game after playing it for free I did buy the DLC so sure. Point is, I didnt have to. I still got the base game for free.

The only thing I will comment on is the bounties. The rewards are not great considering the requirements but.....it is meant to be fun. I had a lot of fun running around looking like the Cock Face Killer. Artificial difficulty or not, it is something to do while we run other bounties and milestones. We are all probably goin’ to run strikes so is running a strike at a PL lower than normal, while looking funnier than a Warlock trying to level up, really affecting any ones ability to finish it? It is meant to be fun that is all

It’s a free event. This is week one of a multiweek event. There is more to come. Who knows what else may happen except bungie? At the moment my two main concerns are this running in tandem with Iron Banner and 3rd week of curse in Dreaming City means there is probably too much to do. Secondly, the cost for masks/rewards seems very high considering relatively low return from Bounties and bosses defeated. That said I only did 3 full bosses and then killed myself as didn’t have time to play sensible and get further.

Spoiler bro! The rifle is a reskinned Origin story. Iron Banner is being owned by the guys that busted their ass in cruicible getting the Luna Howl (have heard and seen) more then 1 person comment about it. They should the busted their ass to get it, they should reap the rewards. Week 3 curse means very little to most. Wishender bow by most people's comments is ok not really worthy of an exotic slot. The Gambit spawn boss everyone is hunting has a higher spawn rate but what good does it do when the primeval is still bugged and has been addressed to be fixed 2 weeks from now. Sorry I find it funny that everyone is ok with such a low commitment from the game developer. If this was a clan mate of majority of the players in this game there would be conversations being had about kicking them from the group for such a half assed commitment. Instead you see people on here praising them for a job well done

You're really stretching for things to complain about. The gun is a re skinned origin story... we get it. But if you were not such a pessimistic fool, you would realize that its made more for the novelty. Just like solstice of heroes, you get rewards that say "Yea, I was there during festival of the lost." And it's a 600 power weapon that is relatively easy to attain, seems pretty cool to me. I don't see the point in complaining about a free event. I thinks its put together pretty well. I thought they brought back the infinite forest in a cool way with a race to kill as many enemies as fast as possible to spawn a boss. Bungie already has enough on their plate since they are supposed to be dropping DLC in December, so if they put too much time into this it would just reflect when that comes out.
