Lol. Except I'm not casual. I haven't been playing this game seriously for long but I've been playing it just as much every day recently as anyone here has. That guy is a generalising POS that knows nothing about the Game design employed in Destiny 2 let alone game design in general. This games exotic rate is objectively broken right now. And I confirmed that yesterday after having a chat with the leader of a *600 only clan who still said the exotic drop was trash. Meanwhile people in crucible and gambit that get carried the whole match get multiple exotics, and the best players get blue shit every match. I have not had a single exotic world drop since the 2.0 update. If I was a casual. I'd probably have an exotic by now. Making only people like you the casuals. Which is doubly true if you're the typical triggered hunter who plays the crucible and uses Blade Barrage, Luna's Howl and Sleeper Stimulant.

Nearly 300 hours of gameplay, 19 exotic drops and only 1 new Forsaken exotic... you don’t see an issue with that? There are 16 (I think) exotics that can drop from open gameplay. I got my only one after about 225 hours. At that rate, it would take about 3600 hours to acquire just this seasons exotics, never mind what they add next season and the one after that. The drop rates are okay, but the duplication is not. Nobody’s looking for handouts just a reasonable chance of getting something new to keep the gameplay and the “grind” interesting and worthwhile

I dont think im a casual, 863h 5m TIME PLAYED. (it says on time wasted on Destiny 2) Not playing for the last 2 weeks now. Its not about handouts at all, it just feels like a boring unrewarding grind now, and i just hate to be forced to use random stuff because of the mw core infusion crap. I wanna look the part ! I really dont mind grinding for stuff, but it needs to feel rewarding and i must/want be able to use what i did grind for.

They could fix people either not getting an exotic at all after hundreds of hours of playing or getting multiple exotics but all of them being duplicates.

Your comment is absolutely unnecessary and ridiculous! It’s got nothing to do with being a casual or wanting handouts - infact, I have not read any comments at all suggesting that people want to be given Exotics right, left and centre! People say they want Exotics to mean something when they drop, which is fair but there is a difference between rare drops and practically non-existent drops for some people. Bungie haven’t reduced Exotic Drops, they have reduced Exotic Forsaken Drops - I still get duplicates which is annoying and as someone who plays every day, I have only gotten 3 Forsaken drops (2 same weapon, 1 Armour). I think it is shocking that some people are close if not reached 600, people have completed NF, Raid and still barely or not even got a Forsaken Exotic - I think it is also inexcusable that people play day after day and not get one! Bungie needs to reload into this and find a fairer balance!

Played every single day since Forsaken launch, zero new exotics, and only a handful of old dupes for that matter (4 if memory serves). But right anything less would be a handout wouldn't it. Enjoy your handout/s, then, as I'm sure you've got at least one.

Its not the drop rate it's the duplicates I'm hardcore but this isnt right to get the same dupes like this

Indeed. There`s only so many Hard Lights that one can accept before it becomes complaint-worthy. I have gotten Lord of Wolves, Borealis and some Warlock robes that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of. Not bad, but that`s among 15 Exotic drops, a full third of those being Hard Light.

Shouldn't take this long for a fix I mean if you where gonna decrease drop rates there's no way it takes a full on month and then to have xur be useless every week like this? Red dead is looking better and better everyday
