Burning maul is the shittiest tree in the game. Remove the throwing hammer (which it gets lost quite a lot) and the class is useless in almost every scenario.

  • in pve it's a beast. the best at elite control (the fire whirlwinds) and choke point area denial. Stack Roaring Flames then toss a fusion nade on a boss. Watch the chunk of health you take off. Throwing Hammers with Dunemarchers give you continuous AoE mob clearing ability. Yeah, it's built around building stacks with the throwing hammer. That's the point of the tree. If you're losing your hammers it means you throw poorly- that's your fault. not the trees. I run a high melee regen build which gets my hammers back quickly should I miss a throw. Which I rarely do- because I've been doing it since Foresaken released and I'm very very well practiced at it. Nothing better than charging up dunemarchers linear actuator, throwing a long bomb hammer, nailing the mob, and wiping all the others in one shot. Money.

  • And I understand the synergy and potential, but it’s too much preparation to make viable. I’d rather use insurmountable with shoulder charge and just keep killing things in an aoe. Try that in gambit and you’ll see how fast waves get cleared! (Credits to Aztecross)

Yeah, I haven’t tried it in gambit, but I want to try it out too. I thought that FoH would be a good cleaning tool... it isn’t.

  • If the hammer tracked enemies and could be thrown through them, that could play really well in duos. It'll be Like playing catch with your dad

  • I’d be glad to see some buffs to that tree.

  • It’s actually pretty solid, especially once you equip the Synthoceps.
