Actually, more like Edge of Tomorrow. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt battle aliens over and over again and die repeatedly. Each time they make a little more progress before teaming up with some other soldiers for a big boss fight at the end, using the Vex- sorry, I mean the aliens' time displacement macguffin against them.
