I am in the top 5% of hours played based on information provided by https://www.wastedondestiny.com/2_4611686018429436943 but am still struggling to get my characters beyond 550 power because I have terrible luck with RNG. Character progression should not be hindered by RNG. If a player puts time in, they should steadily climb in power. I haven't been able to participate in any of the best end game content because I don't have a dedicated team and LFG won't take me because my power is to low. I'm all for the grind for powerful exotics and God tier rolls but slowing/limiting power progression is a ridiculous way to inflate time played. The fact that I'm in the top 4% of time played on Destiny 1 proves that I'll put in the time for the gear grind. Quite frankly, I'm getting bored grinding for power levels and being excluded from the raid and higher tier exotic quests.
