The hive are mostly female, so are the awoken militants. The fallen militants are mostly male. I can’t really say anything about the human’s but... do we know if Xur is a male or a female? Is the light a he and the darkness a she or the opposite?

<Rasputin refers to the Traveler as The Gardener with female pronouns. The Darkness as many names, most of them neutral but there's 2 (one from Toland, one from Rasputin) that are feminine (Queen of [Armies, Final Shapes]). Pronouns are neutral.>
