It's really sad that Scorn tether > Nightstalker tether

Think about it: The Scorn tether not only gives the Scorn invulnerability, it's almost impossible to get away from without killing it. But if a Nightstalker tether's got you down? No problem, easily walk behind the nearest wooden box and voila, no more pesky space magic! Bungie, please take heed: Tether is still garbage-tier in PvP. IMO, the solid neutral game of top-tree Nightstalker does not make up for a super that, when I use it, actually makes me feel weaker than I normally do (as opposed to feeling powerful and deadly, which is how I feel when using any other super). It needs a buff or an outright rework (as opposed to the "buff" it got for Forsaken, which is barely even noticeable). EDIT: OK, so clearly this is not a great comparison, and is not exactly apples to apples. My point, which I obviously haven't made well, is that Tether is still really, really bad in PvP and needs either a buff or a rework, because a lot of the time, it's just a glorified suicide button.

  • I mean, if the tether pulled, that'd be very interesting, it is a black hole sorta after all.

      • It is fine the way it is. It's a support measure like a ward of dawn. Neither of them kills people.

        • Those are two different abilities. It has the same container. The scorn tether doesn’t weaken enemies nor does it chain damage. It does make them invulnerable(void) and spits out fire(solar), and tether(arc) but one station alone cannot beat the hunter tether(i forgot to mention that the hunter tether cannot be destroyed unlike the scorn one.

          • I'd be happy if it just activated faster in pvp. The class itself and abilities are fine overall, but it sucks trying to shut down a roaming super like you could shoot right next to them and they are able to run past the tether before it activates.

            • 1. You're talking about two different totems. 2. The Arc totem is a chain. It's almost nothing like Shadowshot.

              • you're comparing apples to oranges here. The void totem to which you are reffering to, although visually similar to a Tether, functions more like a titan bubble (or Servitor shielding). The void totem doesn't hinder or suppress foes (guardians), it only shields allies (scorn). As to tether in PvP, it's been a while since I've broken it out. Not because I thought it was trash, but because I'd found a lot of fun with golden gun at the time. I may have to do that tonight just to see what the fuss is about.
