To be entitled is not the same as asking for something that’s needed! Read a dictionary, Without the app the game is broken and one of the many reasons why I won’t play it unless sorted! No other game relies on sourcing numbers for activities and do you know why, the devs put the social tools in game to bring players together and there is a big reason why Bungie have implemented the app and that’s a big time gate, period! You either work for Bungie or a pleb with a really low IQ!

You seriously don’t understand the difference between quality of life features and game mechanics that artificially lengthen the game life. Do like every guardian did in y1, use destinlfg.com and destinylfg.net and start threads specifically calling out matchmaking as a needed tool in the game. Welcome to Destiny. The game’s gotten so much easier that as soon as they loosen the grip on your hand you start wailing like a child

Most of your comments seem to be defending Bungie from reasonable criticisms and valid complaints. Shill much? The app has never worked well, even when it is "working" and not down for hours at a time. And it was Bungie's choice to make the app an essential part of the game by putting clan communication and management and fireteam matchmaking in the app instead of in the game itself. That was Bungie's choice. The app is also the only Bungie made way of easily moving gear between characters and the vault but thankfully Bungie has allowed third party apps to also serve that function. And all the very small companies that make third parties apps for gear management do a much better job of it than Bungie does with their app. One of those apps is made by one guy alone. That tells you right there how much effort and expense Bungie is NOT putting into their app. They chose to make an app essential to the game and then made the app dysfunctional.

Please tell me how much money you paid Bungie downloading the companion app. I’ll wait.

I do think if you're going to make the baffling decision to put certain elements of controlling the game into an app rather than into the game itself, you should make sure it works properly. You could probably even shorten that to "if you offer any app, it should work properly". Most of us have spent over $100 just to have the full game and there is still more content in the pipeline they'd like to sell us. Thanks for playing though, try again.

There was a time when the app didn’t have ANY of the things that people are complaining about being down. We transferred gear in the game, not the app. We used destinylfg.com and destinylfg.net. Which are still available btw. This is a quality of life improvement that practically no other game offers. And it’s a free to download. Y’all just got so pampered you forgot what it used to be like.

I just don't agree. I played D1 and I thought it was ridiculous even then the amount of time I had to spend on 3rd party web sites In order to set up a group, or figure out when public events would show up etc. LFG should iust be in the damn game to begin with. You shouldnt have to go to the web to do that, you shouldn't even have to go into the [i]app[/i] to do that, but here we are. Point is, since we don't have the ability to do those things in game, the official app run by the company who makes the game should work much better than it does. It's not pampering to give people a way to group up in your MMO game.
