I think the new progression system is confusing. The tooltip indicates powerful gear, but depending on the source, this powerful gear is soft capped at varying levels. Not all powerful gear is created equal, and it isn't clear just by looking which ones provide more than an incremental upgrade to BPL. I think that makes it harder for players to set their priorities (depending on what those are), and from there results in disappointment for many players.

  • It's xp throttling all over again...I'm glad they like to let us figure things out but some things need to be transparently communicated to the playerbase...I missed the raid launchbecause of rng...how can you release a pinnacle activity (purposely days after launch) without players knowing it's possible they won't be high enough power to attempt it, no matter what they do (besides an exploit, one they explicitly warned against doing). I'm kicking myself for not doing it now but I most definitely will in the future.

  • It is easy, if it takes 5 mins it is going to be a small bump. If it takes more time it will be powerful. If it takes several powerful drop to unlock, you will get multiple power drops (Petra’s weekly)

  • I don't think time is necessarily a good metric by which to judge the power of your rewards, but activity level should be (as Bungie indicated). Still, the fat that it says "Powerful" is kind of misleading depending on where you are at. I just don't think it is sufficiently intuitive for your average player.

  • "Yea because doing 1 match of something should give you the same power drop a a weekly. /s" Eventually, some weeklies are only +1, the same as dailies, and yet, the tooltip still tells you it's powerful. This isn't about what's right, it's about properly managing expectations.
