Yea, really disappointing in today. Got my friends together. Some woke up early from working all night. We go in and see it's 550 power. WTF was bungie thinking doing this? I feel like I've over played the game and I'm only at 528. Bungie was starting to do so good to. But failed hard on this. Also, the raid is another hamster in the cage bullshit maze of obsticles. I just want a raid where I enter a place, kill shit without any special patterns to do dps and move along. Just enter, kill, move to next area, kill everything, a boss, move a long. Not hold plates down, not circle shit. Not shoot 100 different things in a structural pattern. Just put me on a long ass strike with my friends and make it hard without all the added bullshit.

Same, Ive been playing my ass off and Im at 528. Yep, they've made the raids overly complicated chores because they're so afraid someone will solo or 2 man it. Cant do that when it requires 6 people to pretend to be laura croft with space magic. The raids have become an unimaginative boring chore fest and its getting worse with every new raid.

  • I am sorry but you are a moron, did you honestly think Bungie would have this Raid at a low light level? it is "END GAME" why the hll would you think you could possibly go in there at 528 light and finish it, this raid was not meant to be beaten in the first week by the general public.. and you want a raid where you just go in there and kill stuff? so what you want a strike? enough with your delusinal bullshit... a raid will ALWAYS have mechanics, to set it apart from the strike bosses, like shooting a massive bullet sponge for 20 mins is fun.. they have already stated that aswell.. oh my god man...

  • Nah, close though. Me and my friends figured out the first boss within the first 10 min. But our light is so low. It's just not fun trying.

  • None of the raids have ever been that simple, if you dont want to do mechanics then dont raid, thats the thing that makes a raid a raid. Go do strikes and nightfalls if you want mindless killing.

  • I just want something more similar to the vault of glass. It was pretty simple, user friendly, anybody could do it really. The new one has dinosaurs in it. Think about that for a second. They put dinosaurs in the game with a dps pattern to it. After seeing the raid.. I already could careless about playing it.

  • VoG had mechanics. You had to hold three plates at once for a certain amount of time to get in, then you had to protect the confuxes while avoiding getting Marked For Negation or Cleansing yourself if you did, then you had to kill oracles, first one at a time, then all together, then you had to use the relic to take down the boss’s shield, then you had to do some movement puzzles, then you had to hold plates to open time portals to get the relics, then you had to fight a boss that used all of the previous mechanics combined into one encounter, randomly teleporting you into time portals, which had oracles and relics in them, that you had to use the plates to open again, and then use the relic to take down the boss. VoG wasn’t great because it didn’t have mechanics. VoG was great because it used a small number of mechanics in a few different ways, and always gave you enough context to figure the mechanics out yourself. VoG built on a mechanic we learned doing public events, and taught you everything you needed to know along the way so you could put it all together for the final battle. It was a fantastic example of level design done right. In contrast, Leviathin was crap because it was just a pile of random mechanics with no context, that never got used before or since the specific encounter they appear in. You have no choice but to brute force every encounter by trial and error if you’re going in blind, and if you look up the solutions, all you’re left with is boring hoop-jumping instead of an interesting encounter. There’s no building on previous knowledge and applying it to a new context, no challenge once you stumble on the solution, and no use for the knowledge of that solution outside of that one encounter. Now, I haven’t seen any of the dreaming city yet, but if it’s like Leviathan in this way, I’ll be very disappointed.

  • The mechanics for VOG was perfect for the casual player. Anybody could do it, it was easy to explain it to a newb or a younger player and they'd understand what is going on. The newer raids lock out a lot of the player base, young and old. Just cause they don't want to deal with the bullshit. Raids shouldn't be like this. I shouldn't feel like a rat in a cage trying to find my way out of it through doing really stupid objectives like holding down plates, reading symbols, teleporting ect ect. Raids should be based around battle and exploration so all players of the game can easily access it and enjoy themselves. Not wait around for people to explain, then exacute, then wipe a thousand times, get frustrated and after spending hours in the piece of shit. Get crap rewards for it. I wish bungie would make them more simple.. not easy in battle. Just simple motions forward. But you need to do the raid to obtain an item or 5 to continue the story of the game. It'd be much better than making us mice in a bullshit gameshow kind of setting.

  • The mechanics were fine. The power level being 560 was not.

  • Agreed, every raid before this said Recommended light: _____ and that meant thats the light of the END of the raid, not the beginning
