Raid Power Level... WHAT?
Edit: TL;DR - The thing that pisses me off is that people who used glitches and exploits to get higher light are rewarded by having a massive advantage over people like me who grinded my ass off for like 70+ hours. THAT is unfair.
So I know they bumped the light up due to people reaching unexpectedly high light; what they did not say (conveniently) is that it'd be so hard that normal players don't stand a chance.
The raid STARTS at 550, yet despite playing every single day after work and on my days off, amassing well over 100h on Forsaken alone, completing every daily and weekly challenge and I'm only 530, and my friends with similar playtimes are all 530-535.
What this means is basically, WE'RE SCREWED! The people who cheated their light up are rewarded, meanwhile legitimate, commited players like me and my friends have no reasonable chance of completing the raid.
I really wanted that jacket, but now I know Bungie don't want regular people to have nice things, they just cater to the cheaters and Twitch streamers (although it's not the Streamer's faults).
Really killed my excitement...

Yeah, all those worlds first rewards were made for the streamers. Oh no, a streamer beat another streamer, let’s still give them a jacket. I don’t know any normal person who is going to get that jacket.

45 RepliesI’m kind of confused on this, can someone explain to me? The Raid exploit chest didn’t give powerful gear from what I’ve heard, and the Prime Engram ‘exploit’ is essentially countered with the fact that the people who did this won’t be getting Prime Engrams for a good long while. Every time a Raid comes out and the race to first begins, this same argument comes up about ‘catering to streamers’ and ‘only doable by people who no life.’ Of course, that’s the point. The Raid is -blam!-ing hard. You have to sink some serious hours in to be able to get there on day one. Those who exploited were barely even impacted. Those who didn’t exploit are literally neck and neck in the race right now. Those who say this ruined the whole of Forsaken... you’re delusional.

This was the best DLC they ever made by far- and they somehow completely screwed up the reset and then screwed up with the raid power. I hate this saying but, "It is what it is".

Recommended LL was always 550..... I get your point but do some homework.

1 ReplyWasn’t the recommended PL 550? Doesn’t that mean the raid starts at the PL? If it follows D1 style then the final encounter will be above that anyways (I haven’t been watching the streams, waiting to do a blind raid when my fireteam is ready)

It's funny they said if you used the prime engrams glitch you won't get them for weeks. Weird I seen one of the engrams exploiters get 3 on them in the raid.

11 RepliesIm more upset that those who gamed the system will get an exclusive emblem while the rest of the game won't. The final boss is looking to be 590, so even at 550 you will be doing minimum damage or possible be immune to you. So you really need lucky drops from the raid its self to finish it

It really kinda bothers me, I had a group of 530-535 which is about where you are supposed to be if you play the game normally, and with all whispers we couldn’t even get close to enough damage. Yet all the people who abused the game are able to play the whole raid and get all the raid rewards while legit players will have to wait atleast another week.

1 ReplyIt's kind of annoying sure. Especially after the weekly reset fiasco and the prime engram farming. Meanwhile I was getting gear even now below my light level for powerful engrams. Stuck at the cusp of 525. I don't want to let you much time.go by because all the know what to do morons. I've never completed the first ones because I stopped playing and every lfg post was KWTD. Well screw I'll get in on this one early enough before the elists take over the postings. That is really only my gripe because once week one happens those type of posts start popping up.

(congrats to them) and they have only dealt 1/32 damage to the boss. So long story short this raid isn't getting done for a while. Also it is physically impossible to do this raid if you are 30 Light levels under the recommended posted above. Edit: Redeem finished it lmfao congrats to them. This raid is absolutely nuts. 19 hours total i think.

13 RepliesMy suggestion, GO PLAY FORTNITE!!!!!!! If you expected to have been able to do the raid 10 days after launch you’re literally insane. Only a very small percentage of people are raid ready at this point. It’s common sense. Kids like you are absolutely ruining this game. Its a hard, complicated, heavy grind leveling system. Obviously you can’t handle it. I hope to god the high raid light level will get kids like you to quit playing. You’re running an amazing game. Please go away.

What they should have done is keep light at 550, and just take the items people had grabbed from that chest back. Or how about giving those that remained loyal and didn't glitch inside an emblem, call it Play by the rules or something, now that would be something that may stop glitch robbers in future.

6 RepliesI've heard from various people that the raid mechanics are brutal. Can anyone confirm? Complex and heavy mechanics are one of the main reason less than 10% of the community even attempt the raids. If Bungie has indeed made things more mechanical and complex than ever they need to replace their raid designers.
