Why not quit whining and keep grinding it’s not supposed to be easy, god forbid everyone complains about loot boxes and micro transactions in video games, destiny is one of the biggest games where those kind of things are totally unnecessary to progress and what do we get? People complaining about how hard it is to earn things so yeah keep whinging and pretty soon you won’t have to grind for it at all it’ll only cost you $9.99

The problem with locking /character/ progression behind RNG is that by pure reality of the physics at hand, it is possible for thousands of players to play the events hundreds of times and never get it to drop. The additional reality is that these players will not actually play hundreds of times, if they don't get something about eh say 30 rounds, they're just going to stop trying. I was excited that they were bringing random rolls back, even knowing that yes, of course, there's someone who's going to end up with a shotgun they can use as a sniper. People will keep playing searching for their perfect shotgun or hand cannon. They will not keep playing and playing just trying to get their subclass to unlock. What they did in vanilla d2 was neat, you find an artifact with power and you have to do things to empower it and unlock your super... Arbitrarily locking them behind an end game event is not wise. Those who are defending this action. You're what nearly killed this game. Listening to your trash about "oooh you just want things given to you" is why the game became a joke to the entire industry, an example of what not to do, and what not to be. People don't mind working for something. But you should never, ever, lock the base progression behind end game events. What they could have done, to actually make the process enjoyable, is have a story driven quest that you had to buy from Xur each week, once per account, not once per character. Is this the week you want to unlock your spectral blades or is it the week you want a giant freaking hammer? Had each super have it's own story powered mission to unlock... But nah. Ya'll want lame, mindless dribble where just unlocking your own abilities is locked behind CHEATING in a public event. And yes. While bungie has stated they planned to have people wander into these events and encourage them to join, they have also said that gaming the system to allow 9 players into an instance so the max levels could be completed within the first 30 days is considered an exploit, and they view you as a cheater. So. Congrats. If you got your seeds by rigging in 9 players into one instance? Bungie says you're a cheat. I hope that feels good. Being a cheater. Putting it behind a mission, once a week, would have added a reason for every player to come back for at least 9 weeks to unlock all the supers and then level them. But instead, you're all cheaters who got a false leg up on legit players, by cheating. According to bungie. One of these days Bungie is going to realize listening to you is damaging them financially. Hopefully it's soon.

Never... NEVER ever lock progression behind RNG! Unless the drop rate is pretty generous, it's almost always a bad choice.

Personally I dont think this should be locked behind this type of activity, the abilities is a core element and should be done by quests not events, and that is my only major dissagreement with the new dlc yes I have little gripes etc but I do enjoy the grind however to lock the super abilities is not a great idea in my mind. I really hope this changes and soon too.

I’m pretty sure you can only get one per character from blind well. The third seed is obtained elsewhere. We don’t know where yet though.

You clearly have shit RNG because My first time doing it 3 people in another fireteam got it, my second time someone in my fireteam got it, my third time I got it, and my fourth time the other person in my fireteam got it.
