Bump and upvote. I can relate to all of this.
Might I add, My Warlock would never pledge allegiance to any Faction other than FWC but is forced into others because Bungie needs to pad content.
My Warlock also would not have been caught dead (again) without her Hopscotch Pilgrim.

You're not forced...you can choose to stick with the same faction forever.

Was waiting for someone to chime in with this. No, I'm not "forced", except I am if I want the tasty catalysts that Bungie decided to lock behind each Faction. Anyone who plays for a decent amount of time wants those. Before Bungie made this braindead decision, my Warlock could rank up with FWC, my Titan could handle it with NM, and my Hunter could settle up with DO, as they always did in D1 and in the first part of D2, remaining perfectly in line with my "head canon". Bungie removed that choice from me, and every other player in this game, and forces us to put all three in one Faction per rally. Hence, "forced". You know exactly what I mean here. Bungie is forcing us to play their game AGAIN in the manner that they choose for us. They do not care one bit about our "head canon" or our immersion into our characters or their game world.

I don't have to agree or disagree with the manner in which they implemented such. I'm just advising you that you're intentionally misusing language to effectively shift the actual meaning of what you are saying, and how others may read it. Not unlike media spin. G'day CNN =)

Not at all. The restriction that forces all three Guardians into one Faction betrays the head canon of a lot of people who play this game (the topic of this thread). The only way I'm "intentionally misusing" language is if we actually can put different Guardians into different Factions each rally. Otherwise we're forced to put all three Guardians into one Faction by Bungie. Those are just facts that can't be denied. Nice try, Fox News. Make up some other shit to suit your narrative now.
