This is standard banter and trash talk for every competitive gaming experience ive been in for years, and now people are whining about it now?
You would think that if people were that offended by chatter like this to the point people are getting banned for it, they would either mute the offender or shut the Mic off, or if youre getting team killed, go to another match.

As far as i can remember there has been ban systems put in place for this kind of thing across pretty much every game. This is by no means something new to online game, it is just new for siege. Even games like league of legends made attempts to crack down on this kind of behaviour when they felt it started going to far (which didnt take long). WOW has had similar systems for a very long time, xbox and playstation in general have these same systems. There are a number that simply rely on reports, but that has more to do with automated systems being more difficult to set up, at least in the past. As these systems have become more reliable and readily available, more and more games/companies will begin moving over to them, mainly because it typically works better. Either way there is no "people suddenly whining about it", it just an update to a system that has been present for a very long time. And has always been a complaint by the general gaming community.
