Summary: Rainbow Six: Siege is cracking down on the use of racial and sexual slurs used through the in-game chat (typed). If one is to use any term that meets the requirements, he or she will be met with an immediate ban.
Discussion: What really grinds my gears is twofold.
1) Why can’t a filter simply be implemented to cens—r the word?
2) More importantly, why can’t we have an immediate ban on anybody who spawn kills their teammates within the first ten seconds of the game?! The frequency of this occurrence is ridiculous.
Conclusion: While Ubi does have a EULA, the level of punishment between the slur issue and team killing issue seem disproportionate to each other. While I’m sure slurs are thrown, my personal experience has raised the flag on the behavior of players in-game (communication barred) as a greater addition to the toxicity of the game’s community.

Edited by Cozyman Cam: 7/15/2018 1:47:33 AMWill there be or is there a comprehensive list of slurs they will ban you for using? If not, that is more an issue than the refusal to implement a censor filter. Words considered as slurs change over time. Unfortunately most gamers pay no attention to the randomly scheduled and unannounced political correctness summits determining whether or not there are new words to be added to the (un)official You're a fascist bigot because you said... list.
