One of the reasons I love this game is the amount of particle effects and destruction that doesn’t rely on blood and guts. I love DOOM and much gorier games, but after a while they feel too dirty. Bungie really knows how to make “bad guys” without them being too close to home, or disturbing. Maybe some find that childish but I think there is a great balance being struck between the visceral violence and the “cartoony” elements. Maybe fantastical is a better word?
