What Should I Do With My Toaster?

So I bought a toaster from a friend, a good and trusted friend. I liked the toaster it worked great, sure it had its problems but I enjoyed the toaster. In 2017 my friend told me that he has being working on a new toaster, Toaster 2. My Friend promised that this new toaster is the next step for Toaster, an evolution from previous toasting experience. Toaster 2 had a different button placements, it was interesting at first but then it got boring. Toaster 2 looks better and its well put together but the toasting experience is the same, if not worse. My friend also put together Kits that add to the toaster 2. The first Toaster also had Kits and even though they were not perfect, they added something to the Toaster. For Toaster 2 the first Kit just added more to the basic features of the toaster, nothing super exciting and to tell you the truth it bummed me out. It bummed me out because it came with the accessories that I used for the first Toaster but with a different look. The second Kit for Toaster 2 was an improvement from the last, but it also showed that Toaster 2 is somewhat far from its potential. Recently my Friend told me that he is working on a bigger Kit that will include many things that I've been wanting in Toaster 2 for $40, but that's not all he is also working 3 smaller Kits that aim to make Toaster 2 fun to use and refreshing for $30. I feel lied to though, my Friend promised that Toaster 2 was an evolution of previous Toaster but it was not. Now to be clear I'm fine with the $40, I understand that making a Kit takes a lot. I just want my Friend to do some gesture of kindness to prove that he was not trying to deceive me into buying a Toaster that was not ready to be sold yet and then show me the parts that should come with the Toaster 2 with a price tag attached. If my Friend is actually my friend then please do or say something. Please Bungie.
