Really Bungo?
As justification for the failure of D2 Y1. Seriously. You lose almost all of your playerbase within the first month of launch, make two expansions that struggled to even keep those still playing, make questionable changes that honestly boggles everyone’s minds, and then there’s Forsaken.
I saw the reveal. It looked great. It looks like we’re finally going back to D1 after NINE MONTHS. Ahem, back on topic. $40 for the new expansion and $30 for the Annual Pass is kinda odd. You might want to alter the price tag, depending on how many people you’re actually trying to bring back.
Forty-dollars for Forsaken is fine. The annual pass may be the deal breaker. I know you don’t have to buy the pass, but consider that that it’s including three April Update styled content, which is a decent amount of content. Which is why I’m proposing that you drop the $70 bundle to $50 instead. Yes, I have a job just like any other person. I’m clearly not asking for it to be free but, discounted.
And for those who held back on the expansion pass, there needs to be a $60 option that includes the Destiny 2 Base game, Expansion 1&2, and Forsaken. Just a thought.

What is worst thing they're asking from EU people 86 dollars..
-
This is a patch to a game I already paid $100 for. I should not have to pay for them to fix it.
-
if Destiny 2 was a "failure," why would you spend more money on it? that's just silly.

Edited by SoftQuartz: 6/11/2018 4:02:26 PMBase game+first year+forsaken for 60 is not fair for anyone. The first year, however dissapointing, is done and over with. The next year is an optional purchase that I don't think anyone should opt into until it's clear it has value. Forsaken itself is reasonable at $40 but the first year should not be required to pay it. The first year of dlc was bad and forcing people to buy weak content to get the hopefully good content is scummy. Concept: second year pass free with first year pass. You can get everything they have for 78$ because the base game is worth like $3 now. If you have the base game plus dlc you get everything that is coming for $40 If you have base game without dlc you can get forsaken for 40 and if the next year pass ends up looking good round out to the whole game for $35 more

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 10/20/2018 1:21:10 AMIf Bungie was a studio that delivered the amount of content as the price tag they put on things, then there wouldn't be an issue. Money has never been an issue with me as long as I know the studio is putting that effort in creating a game. In reality, the higher-ups have been holding this game way back because of their personal "needs" and I feel they have been really disrespectful how they have handled this game. Yeah, some may be happy about some things coming back but it shouldn't have taken this long. There are many questions that need to be answered knowing Bungie and what they have done so far. Not everything is as it appears to be.
-
No, just buy the expansion, TTK was priced at $40 and it was Bungie's best piece of content in Destiny by far. Foresaken at $40 is a good sign that it will have the same amount of content. The annual pass is just season pass 2 without cutscenes and patrols. For 3 updates for $10 each, that is a fair price but hey, no one is putting a gun to your head forcing you to pre-order it. Just buy the Foresaken and wait till the first update releases to see if they are worthwhile.
-
It doesn't matter what the price is. Bungie has spent so much time and effort looking backward to fix their problems, they are being left behind. This franchise is stale and will get run over during the next year by all the quality games coming out.
-
Annual Pass shouldn't be bundled-it should be a freaking free update!
-
No. The Annual Pass is basically the Season Pass. Only with an emphasis on GRINDABLE end-game content versus story missions and cut scenes, and we'll be getting THREE content drops rather than two. So the $30 price tag actually represents a 50% discount over what we paid for Warmind and Curse of Osiris. But that's beside the point..... The point is that this game is an MMO/looter-shooter/FPS HYBRID. One that this community has made clear that it wants maintained and supplied content like an subscription-fee based MMO. Well that costs money. So this community needs to stop looking at this game like we're paying for content....when the reality is that we are playing for a SERVICE. ...and what Bungie is asking for is not only a fair price for that SERVICE...its actually quite a bargain. Its basically a sub fee of LESS THAN three dollars a month.

Spawn is back at it again

Edited by x-MISANTHROPIC-x: 6/11/2018 7:44:54 AMI opted for on the fence, because that's exactly where I am with the fall dlc. I don't know enough about the Forsaken content to make an informed choice. I also refuse to blindly pre order anything from any developer, that just promotes laziness.
-
Kind of wish anyone who already purchased the Season Pass or obtained both DLC's before a specific date, would be grandfathered in for Y2 with a price reduction as a sound incentive.
-
If Bungie ends up ripping us then their company will be infamous for ripping people there for losing trust and workers. So they're putting their company on the line. And hopefully, it's a good DLC that is worth its content. So a shot in the blind could help them a bit. I reckon the price stays as it is, there a business company and they're trying to make a profit to make more content. The good thing is they're doing better every time, right; Curse of Osiris rating: horrible as for Warmind it was far better. So knowing Bungie they're going to advance and be far better. So a little faith can change the table. If it fails then they gotta see where they did wrong and update.
-
But then people would be saying they are giving discounts only to people who wish to buy it without knowing what they'll get for their money.
-
this game is pure shite if you keep playing it and buying it, then you get what you get, quit buying it and then start bitching.
-
Destiny 2 year one wasn’t a failure that is your opinion.

Edited by ferial56: 6/10/2018 6:42:33 PMAnnual Pass for $30 is for the entire second year for D2. That's 3 bucks a month. Not that much if you put it into perspective. For 3 content drops, and the only thing we know about them is that they'll be smaller than the 20 dollar expansions. Hopefully the content will be good quality. Value is relative, if Destiny is a game you play constantly and enjoy, then this is definitely worth it. D1's Year 2 was free, but was one of the largest content droughts ever. God I hated it. It provided Festival of the Lost, Sparrow Racing, and the April Update. D2's upcoming Y2 will not only provide seasonal and special events, but content drops with the pass. It won't be as empty. Should it have been free? Maybe, but expecting something for free, especially from Bungie, just sets yourself up for disappointment. EDIT: techincally it's actually 70 bucks for the entire year of D2. I missed the actual expansion.
-
I'm just happy we'll have new content throughout the year. D1 year 2 and 3 had extreme content droughts.

i voted for no. the forsaken dlc has the same prize as all the prior major dlcs. nothing bad about that and like they said, all the "fixes" are free for everybody, but a little bit of generosity goes a long way. bungie has never been a very generous developer, not with their loot or anything else. they tend to lash out at gamer's and overdo things out of spite it seems. "you want something to grind for? lets make their fingers bleed and give them the most boring thing you can think of to do. that'll teach 'em...". in other games you find daily login bonuses or monthly crates with GOOD stuff you can use, or even free dlc for the whole run of the game. you will NEVER find anything like that in destiny. bungie is the apple of computer games. arrogant, dishonest and disingenuous. there is not one feature or thing in the game that works in favor of the player. but i don't think they should work for free. if they produce content, they should be payed for it. they are rectifying their mistakes for free, that's all one can ask for. the rest must come from the developer, but like i said, not from bungie.
-
How do you know it's worth $50.00 we have seen one reveal on Forsaken and nothing of the 3 additional dlcs?
-
ill never pay 50 Dollars for an expansion!
Paid 80 Dollars for the Double D

im Rick James!
For the current players who own the game and both dlc, yes but for new players or those who dont own any of the dlc, no.
