Quote:
Honestly I dont see anything they havent pull of on the taken king... what disgust me is how they really are following a marketing plan and everybody seems to not seeing it.... d1? released with flaws... 2 crappy dlcs added to improve it a bit (dark below and house of wolves).... then we had taken king (major dlc) that cotrected and made game better, finally rise of iron to keep ppl hooked. D2? Released with flaws...2 crappy dlcs to improve it a bit (curse of osiris and warmind).... then we have the forsaken.. And now also notices this: Ppl on taken king got: 3 new supers New weapon: swords Fixes to the story telling and stuff that people asked for! Biggest raid ever made (thats how they advertise it) What ppl will get on forsaken: 3 new supers New weapon: bows Fixes to the end game and stuff that people asked for! We are also working on biggest raid that we hope you will like! See what I mean? They had always been able to give us the content we want... but they are following the shady way of business like any other company that sees stock values. Dont get me wrong, like always this forsaken dlcs looks promising, heck I love the idea of bows on destiny... but ive learned my lesson, will wait till release.. stop preorder for their schemes, and wait and see what they deliver, instead of looking fordward for something that might not be that good.
• Look you know we can try to analyze bungie techniques all day but fact if the matter is we all bought d2. Most the expansions. And now most of us will buy forsaken. If people are upset and feel cheated then you don't have to buy these games, it is a choice. I got my money's worth and more of fun out of d2 and the expansions, heck I really liked both of the expansions i thought they were good holdovers. I knew these two would not be the saving Grace for d2 I knew they wouldn't change the game completely. People need a reality check. Bungie is a company that makes a product to pay for the livelihood of it's employees. These people spend their time working hard pouring their heart and soul into creating something they love and hope we love. They can't always do what they want due to time constraints and budget. I love Destiny it's a game I will always love, for reasons beyond just the game itself. If you do to they you will stick along for the ride and hope for the best.

    • 9 Supers. Yeah the base game was crap. Same with D1. But between Xbox and PlayStation I have put hundreds of hours into D1. And most of it was AFTER Taken king. So if they are following the pattern then I will likely have a wonderful time with this new stuff. I already spent my money on D2. There is no getting it back. But I have had some good times with it so I'm just looking ahead instead of whinning. If you don't want the dlc then don't get it.

      • Bungie just seen really, really bad at managing things effectively. D1. Reboot and rewrite less than 2 years before release. D2. Reboot and rewrite less than 18 months before release. There was talk that the Dreadnought was going to be part of vanilla Destiny, but as we all know it arrived a year later with TTK. I wouldn't be surprised if Forsaken was going to be part of Destiny 2 before the reboot. Then they've taken that extra year to change it a little and polish it. I really don't think it's malicious or intentional. It's just that even with Microsoft micromanaging them the version of Halo we saw was the 3rd reboot. They also rebooted other Halo games. It seems to be how they work, and with increased freedom since the split with MS it will have become worse. As time goes on other developers seem to be doing a better job at either getting it right early or fixing things quickly and Bungie are looking a bit like grizzled ancients.

      • They followed the same pattern, that much is certain, but that doesn't necessarily mean that this is a malicious action. From what I gather in your post, the pattern of their content releases (a flawed initial launch, DLC that slowly improves, then the defining breakthrough in the third) is indicative of a scheme and a malicious plan to extort the players for minimal effort. I don't know if I agree. The whole idea of an insidious plot to release crap and then a little good content seems really counterproductive. Bungie aren't morons, they have people paying attention to the sales of their games and they, and Activision, do feel the waves of their failures. Warmind likely had abysmal sales compared to D2's launch. They failed to rectify their course in the first 2 DLCs, and I agree that we should wait and see how the DLC turns out. But to attribute this to a malicious intent is a little silly and presumptuous.

            • <But instead of 3 new supers per account, it's 3 new supers per character. Don't get me wrong, Warmind was short, but CoO did have more content than TDB and HoW by themselves. If we take that logic into account, Forsaken's gonna be pretty big.>
