A Simple Story, Chapter 12.5: Mia

A shining ring of gold hung in the sky above me. It shone as bright as the sun, yet something about it felt... right. It looked like it belonged. As I ran through the crystal roses embedded within the beautiful, lush green ground, a joyous smile ran across my face. I did a small spin and stretched out my arms, allowing the light of the golden ring to shower me with it’s warmth. It felt so real, I thought. There was no way I could be dreaming. I laughed and fell back into the grass, allowing the dancing green blades to hug my body. With another warm smile, I closed me eyes and took in a deep breath. Even the air itself seemed to be the perfect mixture of hot and cool, my lungs felt blessed. But then, a small, tiny spark of worry came over me. I rolled over in the grass, onto my stomach, and pushed myself to my feet. Then, with hopeful eyes, I started to scan the seemingly endless fields around me. The more I looked, the more a sense of dread started to consume my mind. Where was Mia? I thought, turning my body to look in every direction. Where was… anyone? I looked all around me, and the flourishing fields of flowers and grass surrounding me started to feel a lot more lonesome. “Hello?” I softly asked. There was no reply. “Hello!?” I asked again, this time louder. Still, nothing but dreaded silence. “HELLO!?” I shouted in one final attempt to get the attention of anyone that might be lost like me. A high-pitched ringing engulfed my ears like fire and I fell onto the ground. Then shortly after, many voices started to fill the silent air. All in different volumes and pitches, some shouting and some softly whispering. But all sharing one similar characteristic: they all belonged to me. “Hello?” a soft whisper echoed. “Hello!?” a frustrated shout rang. “HELLO!?” a scared, sad voice screamed. And then there was silence. I opened my mouth to once again attempt to reach out to anyone or anything that might possibly be able to hear me, but I bit my tongue and held my mouth closed. I was too scared to speak, too scared to hear the echoing tries of my failures. I would not answer to the beckoning silence again, I told myself. But then I looked up. And I saw her. Out in the distance stood a single small figure dressed in white and gold shining robes with locks of dark hair flowing in the direction of the wind. She was facing in my direction. When I saw her face, tears started to steam from my eyes. “Mia!” I shouted as I scrambled onto my feet and started running to the lone girl. “Mia! It’s you!” I cried in joy. “I’m here, Mia! I’m here!-” With a shout of pain and agony, the same fiery pain coursed through my body and my legs buckled. I collapsed onto the ground and the ringing returned, followed seconds later by the merciless echoes. “Mia!” “Mia! It’s You!” “I’m here, Mia! I’m here!” The voices all mocked me. The tears streaming from my eyes trickled onto my chin and dripped into the grass beneath me. “Mia…” I softly whimpered. “Mia…” my voice echoed. “I’m here.” I sobbed. “I’m… I’m here.” I looked up, expecting to see nothing. But instead I saw the warm, smiling face of Mia looking down upon me with tears flowing from her eyes like mine. “I made it… Mia.” I smiled weakly. “I-I made it.” Mia reached down and laid her hand on my head. She brushed my hair back with her fingers and continued to smile down at me. “No brother.” she said, “You’re not here just yet.” And with that, I opened me eyes.

clearly a creature with many eyes or a race with field of entrants for the crucible racing fans shouting at racers, the red plastic hands was holding a secrey to decode, am not sure you can call me later and ohshit [quote]A shining ring of gold hung in the sky above me. I would really like to see a girl or introduction to multiple eye creatures or village/city/planet race to match the exo and other guardians/workers...
