After the third pair of wizards have come out (Happens around 70% transmatting), for the love of all that is holy, step out of the zone.
Sincerely,
Everyone who knows how to turn the public event heroic
Edit: Killing the shriekers is what triggers the heroic event. If the transmat progresses enough, the shrieker basically opens and closes almost straightaway.

Bump cos it's faaakin annoying G
-
I’m the dick that starts escalation during a public event.
-
I'm just waiting for the post that ask "stop turning my public events heroic".
-
There are three pairs of wizards and three shriekers to kill to trigger heroic. The wizards appear during certain transmission percentage stages 25, 50, 75 (you'll hear the scream). At each point, get out of the ring, kill the wizards, kill the shrieker, get back in the ring. Do this three times and then the spongy Ogre appears. Kill it. Profit. 👍

The flowers are so pretty, I just stand on the big ball and let the flowers rain. Go Bungie!
-
Your not the boss of me. Sincerely, Everyone except the people who might be working for you.

*Warps to area* Which PE is it? Oh... Taken. F$&@ no. *Immediately fast travels somewhere else and waits for a flag* (Sidenote: people are finally learning the injection rig though, at least)
-
Dude people still don't know how to activate the taken heroic PE on Earth

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 5/17/2018 12:07:29 AMYou do know people are allowed to play certain things the way they want to play and don't care about activating the heroic part of it? Bungie Loves to control the gamers on how to play their game so when gamers are not forced to play "your way" they do what they want. Either way though, not everyone you run into running public event uses this forum so don't know where you thought you were getting with this because It's Rear you will run into Anyone on this forum playing D2 let alone a public event. Edit: Scratch what I said about it being rear running into someone on this forum. With how the player base is plummeting your odds are a lot higher...

I'm gonna guess you haven't heard this, the shriekers aren't supposed to close up at 70%. It is a bug thats making them close up like that.
-
I hate e A-holes that grab the javelin as soon as it pops up! They don’t even wait for enemies!! Uhhhhhh people are so dumb
-
I have only done this event twice and had no idea. That's a stupid mechanic but thanks for the heads up.
-
the real question is why did bungie fail again with a troll mechanic? think about it. destiny as a whole is a troll for money, so why would in game mechanics be different.

Edited by Rein: 5/17/2018 12:12:10 AMThis is one of the most awkward Heroic triggers I've seen so far. Did you know you can get the thing transmatted before the third set of Wizards even spawn? Optimal strat is, once you've had Ghost scan the Warsat, just don't be inside it's zone from then on. 1st: The pair of Wizards only spawn once all Majors that spawn have been killed. 2nd: One Shrieker becomes damageable once the pair of Wizards have been killed. There are 3 Shriekers. Be warned that you have a limited window to actual kill the Shrieker in. 3rd: Destroying the 3 Shriekers is what triggers the Heroic Event. Caution: Shriekers will remain permanent invulnerable when the Warsat reaches somewhere in the 70-80% zone. Note: The Major and Wizard spawns will keep coming even while no-one is in the field, transmatting the Warsat. I hope this helps! Also, the Boss Ogre that spawns in the Heroic event is mostly only vulnerable to the Valkyrie. Each Shrieker is on top of one Valkyrie spawn, and they all become available once the Boss Ogre spawns.

Don’t tell me how to play the game, Bungie does that for me!
-
A lot of people seem to not know this yet. It's a race against time for me trying to take down the last 2 wizards and the shrieker before we get locked out
-
it's bugged. the last shrieker sometimes closes regardless of the warsat timer.

Edited by Spyder_Z_Prime: 5/17/2018 7:57:16 PMNot exactly accurate... Wizards are out at 25, 50, & 75. What you have to quickly look for and kill is the yellow bars that inconspicuously spawn with them. Kill those AND the shriekers to get heroic. Basis of claim, experience and this article; https://www.usgamer.net/articles/17-05-2018-destiny-2-warmind-dlc-guide-release-date/warsat-down-heroic-public-event Edit: Might wanna throw that link into an edit... I’m seeing a LOT of misinformation in this thread. So to be clear, you STAY in the ring, wizards spawn at 25, 50, & 75 of Warsat transmat, kill wizards, kill yellow bars, kill shiekers, get heroic, (hopefully) profit. 😉

Edited by joshjda: 5/18/2018 3:43:37 AMThe event is glitched about 50% of the time even if you kill both wizards the shreiker will open then close really fast making heroic impossible. This should not surprise anyone as all bungie does is screw things up.
-
If you can't take out the wizard and shrieker between 70-80% with people transmatting, you weren't very heroic =)
-
It’s still happening.....
-
... but why bother... Heroic Events aren't worth the hassle because the loot is still garbo
-
Edited by XX_Commander_XX: 5/16/2018 10:28:36 PMBut stepping out is only needed because of the bug with the Heroic trigger as far as I understood?
-
There are way to many comments to to read. Wasn't the 3rd shrieker bugged?
-
No matter how much time passes, there WILL ALWAYS be someone who doesnt know what to do. Heres me in Prison of Elders AOT and I get these 2 guys who both didnt know that Vex weak points were the juicebox. Amazes me everytime

Edited by Technohydra: 5/17/2018 3:20:43 PMOn that note, please simply know the protocol for escalating any normal into a heroic event. Observe the others around you: if they are doing things that appear to be trying to trigger that protocol, most of us would appreciate others being respectful, and not doing things that will prevent that from happening. If you don't know what's going on, that's no big deal. Just watch other people, see what they are doing, and try to understand if there is a logic to it: that's how I figured out the heroic warsat trigger on my second or third event. Bottom line, you don't have to play the way anyone else tells you to, but it would be considerate of everyone not to block the progress of others, especially if it has the potential to benefit you as well.
