Ok, so the Warming Stream went Live and I watched most of it (aka the PvE sections because I could care less about Crucible, and all I hear is Rasputin, Rasputin, Rasputin. Is the Warmind of Mars not Charlemagne, or are we just going to ignore D1 like it never happened and retcon that? In the Dust Palace strike, or some mission, or some description of some sort it states that the Dust Palace used to house the Warmind of Mars, i.e. Charlemage based on concepts. Now that would be easily dismissed if that was all we had... Except it's not. During the quest for the Sleeper Stimulant when you finally get a Warsat public event on Mars after roaming around for three hours and constantly checking Public Event tracker (remember that app?) You get a core or piece or whatever that has the initials CHLM under it's title. The ones from Earth and the Moon state RAS, for Rasputin, so obviously this would be in reference to Charlemagne and his continued continuity. But you know, I guess we can just throw that out the window, scream retcon, and pretend like I don't have a sleeper stimulant on my warlock in D1 right now that required that very piece. Not only that, but a line from D2's main campaign that scared me might actually be true. In the mission where you breach the Warming bunker on Io (which people theorize to be Joyuse based on the initials JYS) Nolanbot asks which Warmind this is as we prepare to jump down into the bunker. Ikora stares that there is only one Warmind, Rasputin. I had a conflicting opinion on that statement, maybe she just meant after the collapse and that he was the only one to survive (canon) or the more terrifying, that all other Warminds had been retconned without even telling us. Srsly bungie, get it together.
