Solo Players Are Not Casual Players
Can we just recognise that a large % of Destiny players are solo and play just as much if not more than players who choose to put together fireteams and run raids?
No one wants fast easy progression - It's a huge issue in D2 right now.
Make it harder, make it slower - BUT make sure you make it possible for solo players.
Iron banner was the go to activity to get higher light gear and weapons. That's gone now.
Even Luke Smith recognised publicly that the majority of players don't raid or use fire teams.
Guided games was a disaster.
This progression update sounds like it wants to make it very difficult for solo players to hit max light.
How about some more matchmaking Bungie?
Of all the times to push group play - now is not the time with the lowest ever number of players online.
Or do you just want to lose some more of your player base.

3 RepliesI am and always have considered myself a solo player. Being a solo player doesn’t somehow magically mean that I am a casual. This new progression system is, in a word, useless. With the way that it is structured only the trials sweats, streamers and paid carry Sherpa a.i.d.s. Trials players as well as the people who raid all of the time will be able to level up without a masssssive grind. I have no problem with a grind if it has the rewards and reward systems that make it worth the time investment. Sadly, no such rewards or reward systems exist in this game. What Bungina has put forth as their plan will now make my time investment even more worthless than before. That said once this new system is implemented I will be left with literally no reason to play as my time investment in the game will not be worth it or respected, especially in comparison to the aforementioned trials and raid groups. Who in their infinite wisdom at Bungina thought that it was an intelligent decision to make a system where only 2 groups of an entire player base deserve a better reward for their time invested than all of the others? I remember when all I had to do to level up my gear was grind strikes, the nightfall, regular crucible, iron banner, challenge of elders and hunting taken champions on planets utilizing three of coins (when it actually worked). Now that I and the others like me have essentially had all of their avenues of approach to leveling up essentially neutered you can expect to see an even larger exodus of players from a game that has so much potential but instead of utilizing it they choose to spit in the face of consumers who don’t want to raid or play trials every time they log on to play. I tried really hard to let a lot of the mistakes this company has made go in hopes that some day their management would dislodge their heads from their rectal cavities but this is the last straw. I will no longer purchase any other Bungie product and I would suggest to any other gamer to refrain from doing so as to not support a company that lies to, cheats and disrespects their fan base as much as this company of tools does.
