Opinion: 6v6 Iron Banner is AMAZING
I just tried 6v6 for the first time and holy crap I don’t know if I’ve ever had so much fun with crucible before
4v4 is kinda good for like, more competitive and serious and “pro” matches because like smaller teams means more closely knit communications and tactics, but the sheer volume of how many players there were and how many supers were at play and how much power was being thrown around made Crucible suddenly feel a million times more epic than it ever has for me in a while! Not that I haven’t enjoyed crucible as it is, but 6v6 just brought some kind of fire back to it.

Eh, not a fan. I've had too many spawns issues, and it's not just spawning into enemy fire, it's being spawn trapped half the time. I'd rather not see a repeat of D1's crucible. By the end of Y2, I was tired of all the one hit kills, tired of that one guy using a shotgun likes it's a primary, tired of getting sniped at the beginning of the match, etc. It felt more luck based than skill based (especially since a lot of those OP secondaries relied on RNG to be as broken as they were).

3 Repliesthe only thing is they need to set six man fireteams against four or six man fireteams. not against randoms. it gets unplayable as a solo player. and i love playing against four man teams to get lots of kills even though i lose but now its instant death when you round a corner or they round a corner. you cant fight it effectively. ive never ever complained and ive been playing since beta years ago. loved six v six iron banner in D1 here in D2 its not fun at all. turn off radar to give us solo players a chance vs these comms teams is whats needed

9 RepliesSorry to say this but I don’t think it is any better. The game is over before It began. Half of my team gets a super leading up to the final seconds of the game. Consistently getting solo players rage quitting. Spawns are all jacked up. Everyone is excited for now because it is something new. Still way too many things that need to change.

I agree with the TC. Iron Banner feels like a huge step up from the game types that have been available until now. I do feel like the basic shooting is solid, especially since literally everybody is using Vigilance Wing, it feels like you really need to best your opponent by getting that headshot a little faster and a little more consistently.

100% agree. Don't let the haters get you down, they're never going to be happy. I bought destiny and D2 for pve but always enjoyed the crucible when it was 6v6 as a way to unwind. The servers are full of guardians again and they're all having a good time. If you are playing a video game strictly for rewards and not for just having fun, I can't help you. This series was meant to be played with others.

I mean bungie don't get me wrong, we need bigger maps for bigger activities like 8man rumble and 6v6. you guys did a good job chosing the maps. I only respawned next to an enemy once, I been playing all day but I also been abusing heavy and colony so I've been doing good. I feel like we should give everyone one heavy that's close to the box so no one feels left out you know play nice and all and 6v6 should be permanent to those who would like it. Let's do it bungie I'm down. -

Didnt we have 6v6 before? So now we are traveling back in time in D2, just waiting for Marty to show up. Come on guys , you cant praise them for giving things back we already had. Thats just lazy and clueless development, dont we want new gamemodes / content to play? Its a rinse and repeate of D1 , take things away and then give it back later down the line. That does get old, even when it is an improvement on what we got right now. Shoudnt there be some kind of standard.

Agree 100%. 4v4 should only be in the competitive playlist and then the rest should be 6v6. Like destiny 1. Have some 3v3, 2v2, rumble and etc. because only having 4v4 sucks.

44 RepliesI would not go that far to say it's amazing. It's 6v6, so it's better. Still there are lingering issues. 1) The only one viable primary (vigilance wing) 2) Slow as hell grenades 3) Cramped, small, over-designed maps 4) Too many damn special effects obstructing visibility

6v6 is... *Sigh* Its too much for competitive game modes, but I maybe great for Deathmatch or capture the crest matches. Otherwise, I prefer 4v4. And maybe just me, but God why does it take forever for a match to start? And why does it start with 4 player in 1 team while theres 6 in the other? It destroyed my expectation for a fun game.

First bungie takes a spiral downward And now a select few players post that 6v6 is fun! Lol check your forums bungie I will tell you that 6v6 is terrible. It provides more players for teamshooting and its not competitive. Its just a floor to spray bullets with, die, and repeat. Theres no fun in that, only for simple minded people!

11 RepliesReally? How can u say its fun? 1. No new maps to support 6v6 2. Maps are too small for 6v6 3. U get killed when u spawned in almost instantly and constantly 4. It sucks if ur playing alone and not on a team for communication 5. Its more sweaty than it was before cuz of how small the maps are 6. If ur going against a full team of clan members ur almost for sure going to get ur ass kicked if ur not in ur own fire team Its just one great clusterf*ck. Destiny 1 IB was more fun than this, the maps made it more fun and it gave u a reason to grind out with ur friends for that unique rolls. And u didn't die everytime u spawned in right away.

Faster and a little chaotic but not in a Mayhem style I have played probably 15 matches across 3 chars and did not experience any spawn killing, the spawns were good. It's tougher staying alive during a roaming super but that's a risk/reward thing. In general, it's a good development

3 Replieslast night i used a sentinel super and kill all 5 players that clumped up together! i truly could not believe it and that feeling of chasing a seventh column came back instantly. man it does feel better
