I don't think they are concerned. I believe they plan on taking a hit for the next 18 months and are just going through some motions to put on a show of concern. They know they can't make the changes we really want, they have a ball and chain for an engine. They are just doing what they can, within budget that is. They will have a faster engine for D3, unless they are completely insane, and they just have to hope we're forgetful or fickle. I know most people say right now that there's no way they'll buy D3, no matter what. But I have a feeling that if D3 is what D2 should have been people will change their song and buy it anyways.

  • No offense but are you really going to buy Destiny 3 after the destiny 2 disaster?

  • Sadly, many will buy it I believe...players tend to forget really fast.

  • Will have a faster engine? Not to bag on you, but that sounds like something a villian would say to a protagonist: "I will have my revenge!" "I will take over the world!" And at the end of the day, the villan doesn't accomplish the said goals above.

  • MAYBE D2 is the unwanted and crippled in between sibling...like Windows Vista. I highly doubt it though. I believe D3 will be the same crap or even worse as long as they prove otherwise.

  • I’ve been saying that for months. There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that Bungie would be just fine if everyone quit playing D2 and the game quietly went away. D2 was nothing more than a cheaply made game(filler) designed to be easily maintained by a skeleton crew of underlings while the real studio talent puts all their focus into D3 and etc. I feel sorry for the poor fools that were tasked with keeping D2 on life support. Not exactly something to be proud of.

  • I think a big issue for Bungie is "time". Too much of it has passed and that allowed all the 24/7 players to go other routes. I was one of the 24/7 players and it took about the last two months for me to get there as well. I tried to load the game two or three times the last two weeks but i just turn it off and go play another game. This "time" issue will inevitably hurt future DLC sales and Destiny 3 will take a massive hit financially. But!!!, the good part is that other developers can learn from Bungie's mistakes and avoid releasing games with no replay value. We shall see!
