Destiny Content and Question for Bungie about Microtransactions in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is having the same issue as Destiny 1. Not enough new content, and people quickly playing through all the content. But with Destiny 2 it is even worse because of lack of meaningful things to grind for other than these Bright engrams tied into the Eververse. Question: And I know you guys are not going to answer but this is worth writing. Originally when Destiny 1 started you guys said you will not be doing Microtransactions. But you ended up doing them. Then you said that it would just be a minor part of the game, but in Destiny 2 you went all out and made it a major part of the end game, as in hunting for bright /illuminated engrams the end game of Destiny 2. Getting legendary engrams does not feel rewarding, and I end up deleting Purple engrams, where in Destiny 1 purple engrams were something I looked forward to. Is there any way you can shed some light behind your reasoning for making this the main draw of the Destiny 2 end game? If so can you elaborate how you plan on changing this in the future? Why I say this, because I believe that these are one of the main issues with the game. And if the game had a bunch of new content coming every 3 months than I wouldn't mind the microtransactions so much, but your DLC schedule for D2 is the same as it was during D1, leading to believe that you did not learn from D1 at all. So why should we spend money on Destiny 3 then if you guys continue to ignore our requests for more content? How does Bungie plan to come out with new content in future games, because let me tell you, that this is the last time I am going to be fooled by your company. • Nothing wrong with Eververse at all. It just offers cosmetic stuff that you really don't need to stress about. The game doesn't necessarily need more content, it needs more repeatable content though, content which is worth doing over and over, which is different every time you do it and offers meaningful rewards.

    • Microtransactions will be in almost every multiplayer game. In destiny it is pure cosmetic. It will not affect anything in game except your looks. People made a fuss about it just because of frustration of other things. Microtransactions are not the issue in this game. Lack of content, end game rewards is.

      • If I'm not mistaken, Chris Barrett addressed this. He said that was never their intention and gave us the roadmap. Pretty sure bungie exited this one properly.

I agree with your sentiments on micro transactions. It’s a real pity that this has become their focus instead of in-game content. The reason 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑. IMO Bungie’s short term gain is their long term pain

Would you believe me if I tell you eververse existed on d1 and is now the major content of d2 thanks to the playerbase's feedback? If you investigate a bit you will find thousands inviting bungie to create an ingame store, lootboxes and stuff and fill it of content "millions will buy asap". Why you wonder. The reason from those parasites was "to sustain the dev team, thanks them for their work, helps them to keep the game alive, pay the salary of dev team" Bungie simply implemented what those bastards kept asking, this is the result. You can spot often some of those bastards on various other forums of other games posting around asking devs about include a lootboxes system ingame and microtransactions promising they would be ready to pay

              • They did it because they said it was too hard to make content WHEN THEY HAVEN'T MADE ANY CONTENT IN 4 YEARS!!. Ahem... sorry for that outburst. They're making money through Eververse instead of through content. But now they have an easier system to make content and they STILL kept Eververse in the game.

                • Micro transactions in games currently bring in more revenue in the games industry than the selling of full priced games. It is only about the money and that is why Destiny 2 is so bad.
