This isn’t Luke’s fault, at least in my eyes.
He was in charge of VoG, and Taken King. Both were great.
This guy has 1000s of hours in D1, one of the highest numbers.
Mark Noseworthy on the other hand, hasn’t. I’m of the opinion Bungie wanted to create a game THEY liked and THEY wanted to play.
You’re just here for the ride.

-blam!- luke smith
-
Luke is the one to decided that Primary Elemental weapons should go away and not be leveled up next expansion because people were using them too much.
-
Ikr Luke smith is actually a nice guy but people keep ridiculing him it's madness. Sure destiny 2 sucks but it's not all on Luke...
-
Not to mention that interview the two did together where they say they dumbed down the subclass options because Mark didn't like Luke Smith making fun of him.
-
Sure it’s Luke’s fault. It failed on his watch. That’s all you need to know.
-
Well well here we go again. Sure it's not his fault that his parents didn't like him.
-
2 raids doesn't put him above accepting blame for ruining an entire game.
-
Did you fell that the game felt like a dlc? Answer : No: there’s the problem mate, Luke was in charge of a raid and dlc but not a full game plus everything in D1 leading up to the taken king was already made so of course the TTK was great Luke didn’t have to overhaul so many systems or story just to fit what they want like they did with D2 Yes: I feel you
-
I'll admit VOG & TTK were some of the best content D1 had, why oh why didn't they follow the same formula.
-
I completely agree. While I feel Smith is responsible for the Eververse fiasco (he places zero importance on ships and sparrows and the like on overall game performance... so he monetized them) I feel Noseworthy and the sandbox team were responsible for the dumbing down of D2. Smith, in my opinion, would prefer a more difficult/complex game with insanely low exotic drops and everything outside of weapons and gear put into Eververse... so, he got half of what he wanted.
-
But he also started no elemental primaries which in my opinion started this decline to where we are now. What’s wrong with having an elemental primary when you finish the end game content (raid and trials)?
-
I know your talking Legendary but bring back my Zhalo Super cell, UNCHANGED.
-
You would deal elemental damage, wich is mofe powerful than kinetic
-
Which gave you something to chase. For all its faults, Vanilla D1 did the endgame right.
