Try 2.70 I'll go on a good run, win 70% of last 25, bogus elo up to around 2,000. Matches get progressively more 'challenging' going from bad to worse to impossible. Bogus elo down to 1,400 commiserate with the loses and the algorithm's purposed 'reflection.' Meanwhile, k/d, the one metric that you have more control of as an individual, remains not only steady but on the rise through the wild fluctuations. That's how it works. Specifically, I'm frequently flown into late spawn rescue missions with my team trailing. I get a TON of these. Half a game to play. For the algorithm , less game time = higher probability for manipulated outcome (aka Bungie's theoretical and fraudulent equilibrium). Got one few days back, joined late, down badly, I went 20-2, we won by 1. My team all randoms, opposition was two 2s. Next match, late spawn, down badly, I go 12-1, we won by 1. I was paired with a 3 with poor k/d and not much tactics to speak of. Opposition all randoms. Next match, late spawn, DOWN BY 45, end of match everyone has supers up but me, the team gets trounced I get trounced. Someone attempt (and fail) to argue this isn't sbmm. This is how 'invisible brackets' work. I played on a noob acct over the holidays and it was a -blam!-ing turkey shoot vs opposition with zero map awareness , zero vertical game, and poor gun skill. It was a slaughter....and shocking to see. Anyone with an opportunity, give this a try and see for yourself. Let's be real. If noobs got the MM I get they'd have no incentive to play = current Bungie non-offensive consrtuct = manipulated outcome. End transmission.

  • I'm getting the same basically. My kda average is deceptive from letting my kids play on my account and from not always taking it seriously. Check my last 15 games or so for a better representation of my own skill level. I really don't object to tough opponents. Those games are great and it's what makes trials so fun. What i hate is being teamed up with really awful teammates. It doesn't feel like a good game as my options are basically run around sweating trying to scrape together some points, or just sit back and die and forget about it.

  • Finally, somene that sees and understands. On this acct, I play just one character. The other two barely used ones belong to other people. They've tried mine a few times, but the results are skewed and they get scared off. I don't think either of them have entered pvp on their characters. Honestly, I enjoy the rescue missions. I'm not complaining, just making a point. Beating the odds and/or the new target market player attempts at 'scrub stomping' is a great source of enjoyment, along with the straight up good matches you get. MM does get into the realm of 'really?', and ridiculous though. Funny, last year I didn't play for about a month. My nephew was on and started running the numbers into the ground - couldn't stand to see it had to boot him and make it up. This, after the landmark D1 December, 2016 announced MM shift away from emphasis on sbmm and more on cbmm which saw my numbers go through the roof. Brought a deafening silence to this board, too. Put everyone in their place. It remains as the one perfect Bungie response.
