If you pay attention too, you will notice connection fluctuation in rhythm with how the match is going. For instance, you do well a few matches, then you get put into a match and it is as if your bullets are disappearing and/or the opponents are seeing you on their screen miles ahead of you seeing them. Your team can't seem to catch a break. A minute in and the score is like 7 - 30. A little longer and its like 7 - 40. Then, like the flip of a switch, you are suddenly able to start getting kills easily. Going on streaks, etc. Bullets feel accurate, headshots feel right. Rockets are actually doing damage. The match will usually end with you losing, but with about a 10 point disparity so it looked like a close match despite the fact that you got obliterated in the first 3/4. This is the primary reason I can't stand Crucible anymore. Connections determine the outcomes of most matches and nothing else.

Sounds like Clash Royale. Maybe those teams you face that destroy you have lag advantage. That is why they are being matched in your tier because they keep winning too.

  • There is nothing wrong with what I said. Connections vary greatly match to match and sometimes within a single match.

  • I had 1,733 matches when I looked the other day, all on one character. The other 2 are used by others, but barely. I leave my shit linked for certain reasons. One of them is for blowhards that think they know better or try to discredit. 1v1 D1 with loser leaves this board permanently stakes has worked out nicely so far.

  • MM algorithm. What part of that do you not comprehend. I've been here since the beginning of yr1, seen it all, been through it all. You're preachin' to the choir, capt'n.

  • Riveting response from one with a truly analytical mind (not). Speak with my loan officer for debt tied to Political Science/Literature - major/minor then we'll compare notes, friend. We'd have to nerf my quotient and buff yours to further any exchange. This conversation is over. So long.

  • True. But I'll not let a card carrying douche hoard member get off the hook quite that easy. Relax, you're on my 2018 Christmas card list, and also pro bono work wait list for this year ($400 - $800 value). I'll keep up with you periodically via PM. Now you can go -blam!- your palm and have a nice life :-) Vaya con Dios

  • You seem very triggered to be making minimum wage. And in pesos too, evidently. Sorry for your misfortune.

  • you notice too that bungie have hidden the connection bar to other players so you cant tell if its a lag game or not. the way you find out is exactly as you have said. i saved a video of me shooting a titan in pvp with mida. Each and every bullet hit him (12) but only 3 registered damage, then i was team shot and i "felt" only 2 bullets hitting, but was insta-melted. This is game lag. and its is present in a very noticeable 50% or more of the matches im in in D2. i get fed up and leave these games, searching for the one game where the connections are about even between everyone. then (win or lose) i enjoy the game. ive been in games where my team of randoms absolutely stomp on the enemy, then the next game we get absolutely stomped on. and it can be 2 complete games of randoms. so its not skill overbalance. they should bring back the ping connection bar and show the players what the game connections are really like.

  • Sounds like packet loss. This happened to me on wifi while playing BF3. If I fired my LMG for too long, the bullets stopped damaging enemies. I'd fire at them point blank and their bodies would flinch with blood spurting out. Then they'd turn around and kill me. Make sure you are on a wired connection. Also keep in mind their connection might not be as good as your giving them slight advantages or detriments that inadvertenly guard them.

  • Yeah, the amount of laughable moments in PvP is...well...laughable. And, irritating quite frankly. I can handle getting smashed into the ground by better players. What I can't handle is when things that should work simply don't. At least when facing better players, there is a learning curve. You can adapt playstyle to counter or learn fight/flight. There is no counter to being on the shit end of the connection stick and that just removes all the fun. I'd much rather fight against 4 stacks with a great connection than have to fight against connection issues with randoms.

My favorite part is being accused of network manipulation. I had some guy whisper me non-stop claiming I was lag hacking when I was merely standing still in the center of the EDZ map on top of the Cabal bridge chokepoint walls. I was barely paying attention and alt-tabbing constantly to work on my essay. How I got accused of network manipulation is beyond me. We even lost, but I did snipe his team a few good times with my MIDA from across the map. lol Somewhere between me, the server, and the p2p network web of other players, a connection was faulty and made latency high. It reminds me of circuits where some parts might have unusually high ohms.
