I think there is something to this. Even in Destiny 1. We would have a full fire team, we would win, win, win, and then eventually just get stomped. Then there would be a losing streak, and just as people were just starting to get pissed, we would match against a team and just destroy them. That kept us playing, because people were starting to talk about playing a different game, then we would win and keep playing. I absolutely believe they have some sort of metric that calculated a team's breaking point, and would give you an easier team to keep playing. It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

    The problem is that the wins and losses don't account for players going AFK for a few seconds or half the match, nor do they account for poor connection, poor team makeup (4 Titans), or a host of other contributing factors. This is far too small a sample size to reflect an algorithmic force. Not saying that it isn't true but there isn't enough here to prove that.
