Much more complicated than that OP. If you look at the Republicans spending they will kill america and put us further into debt. All this other drama is avoiding the real issue. Republicans want to give more to the top and don't give two shits about anybody else. This is enabled by the fact that our president is a dumb ass and his interests are his own self interests. Democrats are just tired of Republicans abusing offices and power. They threw in a monkey wrench into it as Republican spending is out of control. No one is looking at how to pay for half of what is proposed. Sure the Democrats seem like the bad guys but they are the only ones who are sane. Republicans every time they get a president in office or have majority they try to friggan spend. George Bush Jr was no different. You just never seen half of what was going on. Republicans are out for the rich and no one else. Wake up to the fact that we can't afford another war let alone another crisis we are going to be put into because the Republicans are trying to go for Uncontrolled spending. Allot more going on here than you see. Trump keeps amplifying it by twitter and his image that he himself tarnished and not only that tarnished America along with his party. I take no sides but i refuse to turn a blind eye to stupidity.
