Engram drops are still lower light than expected
Hi Bungie Support,
I remember a few months back (about when Destiny 2 PC first released) there was talk about how the game dropped the light level of engram drops if you had remade a character of the same class. I'm not entirely sure if this is still the case but all of my characters are one or two light points below maximum and the only character that consistently gets drops that are above 324 is my warlock that has never been remade.
I had previously remade the hunter and titan not being satisfied with the look of the character. The titan was a remake of a character that was already max level (not light) and had completed the osiris DLC. but at that time it was already suffering from low light drops.
I'm not sure if the system is still in place (part of me agrees with the usage of it) but i'm curious if the support staff knows if the effect of the restrictions would lift after playing for a significant amount of time on all characters after remake.

P.S. my other suspicion is that the light drops only increase after completing the exotic weapons quests on each planet again... but im not sure about that. I look forward to hearing back from you.

I have noticed as well. All my guardians are 335 and engram drops (majority) are 23/24. It used to be 330 drops.

answer, you get to a higher power through powerful gear, that seems to be the best and only easy way of doing it, relatively. do all your milestones, you should be cap in roughly 2 weeks if your already 305

1 ReplyHi I noticed this as well pre CoO my titan was first to hit 305 and would consistantly get drops even blues at 300 from strikes and public events etc yet my hunter and warlock would never drop anything above 295(excluding milestone rewards).Since CoO my lock was first to 335 hunter and titan are 334 yet now my lock drops blues at 330 from heroic strikes etc and my titan and hunter never drop anything above 325 from same activities again excluding milestones.I never deleted a character or started over ,no nightfalls or raids and I would also like to know why this happens.

Edited by Felicity_Faye: 1/21/2018 11:24:11 AMHave to complete Weekly Milestones to get Powerful Engrams in order to get increased Power drops. All other engrams drop at 5 Power below your base power (without mods). Seeing as your Warlock is 334 (means 329 without mods) and 5 below that is 324.

Unfortunately remaking your characters because you didn't like their looks, is the problem. The system will continue to drop lower engrams and it now is purely down to rng to get higher level drops. Certain activities guarantee you a 330 drop like finishing the leviathan raid. Bungie's implementation of this system was brought in to hinder power levelling....it has no off switch.
