I refuse to abandon a game I am so passionate about.
It has its flaws. The developers/publishers make bad decisions like they have no common sense. The community whines and makes so many demands like a bunch of entitled brats.
But I refuse to give into Anna bandwagon of hate and toxicity. I stay to contribute to making the game batter. I don't go on these forums making posts trolling the game and it's community or talking about how how much I hate Eververse, or that this game is dead, or how Warframe is better, or that everyone should give up.
No. I'm not giving up. I'm not abandoning a product with so much potential behind it. I don't quit playing and continue in these forums just to "watch it burn to the ground." I play the game to have fun. I come to the community to make criticism and give feedback.
I let myself have fun. I offer points and tips as to what could be done.
Bungie. Put more effort in. I'm sure you say you do, but this community is losing faith, especially after you gave a timeline that basically said that all the important things are coming later rather than sooner. You need to put focus on the game you just released 4 months ago, not the one you plan to release in 2-3 years. The sooner you fix the problems, the happier players would be and the more new players might join in. Also, give more communication. A simple "we're listening" isn't cutting out. We want facts, details, insight to anything you have planned. Don't hold back all the information. Leak a few details every week or so on new patches and updates. Something to show you do actually care about the game and it's fans.
Community. While Bungie can be aggravatingly stupid and devoid of any common sense, that doesn't mean they deserve the sheer amounts of hate you give them. Sure they screw up. Sure, they might take away things that we all loved (R.I.P. Outbreak Prime and Gjallarhorn) and not keep promises, but they do try to appease their players. They want to make you guys happy, but they can't do it if all you do is whine and make demand after demand after demand. Even the demands you make that get implemented on get trashed on and you go from "we want it" to "we hate it" the moment it drops by. There are also people who offer no reasoning. No support. No advice. Only pure hate and irrational thought. If you want the game to get better and succeed, don't say it, describe it. Give suggestions, advice, anything that you want to see. Make it so Bungie specifically knows what the players want. Saying you hate something won't cut it, but saying how you don't like something and offer your ideas for a fix can go a long way. Communication is a 2 way street. Not only does Bungie need to communicate properly, but you, the community, need to improve your communication as well.
I refuse to abandon this game. I refuse to hurt it, it's community, and it's developers more than they need to be. I want to help this game succeed, but I can't do it alone.
All I ask is that we, Bungie, the community, and I, can work together and see Destiny get the proper treatment it deserves.
I thank you for your time.

11 Replies-blam!- all the Community blaming. Bungie, and Bungie alone, is responsible for each and every decision that has landed us here.

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 1/22/2018 8:24:32 AMWell except most of the demands is to have things we had before. Which we shouldn’t have to do in the first place. So those demands are wholly justified. Can’t blame us for not giving them a wag of the finger and leaving it at that. Especially when the dev lead says something stupid like you’ll throw money at the screen for garbage items. Then we get a game that makes good on that line. On top of getting short changes with the features, gameplay and end game. How else can you interpret that? They delivered a hot mess with poor base content, dismal events and under the hood throttling meant to drive you to throw money at the screen. It all points to Bungie deliberately changing the game from what the players of 1 enjoyed to some thing the people who never played or dropped it quick might like. While expecting the 1 crowd to stick through yet another cycle of them finishing making the game post release. And paying for that privilege again They slapped us in the face with D2. So they earned the majority of the hate they get. Some of it is over the top and the threats are wrong but everything else? They try to rip us off and some don’t take kindly to that, don’t blame them for wanting to see Bungie pay for it. It’s called not putting up with the bs from devs and publishers anymore. Sooner or later it was bound to happen.

Edited by KnightWolf: 1/25/2018 6:16:33 PMWell thought out, and I agree. I love this universe, and hope that it is revitalized. I'm an old school gamer 35+ years, and I remember many times in the days of Atari 2600 or Neo-Geo or even original Xbox and PS games I would spend 40-60 bucks on a piece of garbage with no recourse and no one to blame but myself. I have gotten more enjoyment out of Destiny 1 and even the current state of Destiny 2 than many other games, the difference is now if it isn't perfect or someone's idea of how it should be social media allows us as gamers to be heard and sometime overheard. Yes, Destiny 2 isn't perfect, but no game is.....but ask yourself did you enjoy the game for 10 hrs, 20 hrs, more or less? If so than you got your money's worth, if you don't like it move on and come back later when the game is tweaked and refined................many people and reviewers said that Destiny 1 was not a complete game until the complete edition released that included all DLCs for 60.00. Is this correct, no and I wish developers wouldn't release games that are not complete, but we as gamers have to change the industry by not buying incomplete games, next time wait a few days, let the reviewers tell you about it, do you really need it day 1? If so buyer beware. For every person who speaks out against this game, there is another one who loves it. Social Media and forums are a horribly abused tool of the masses. But opinions are like A-holes, everyone has one. The only thing is we as a gaming community need to respect everyone, even those who have a different opinion.............not troll, not take pot shots. If we truly want to change the game and community for the better then state the issues as you see it, and any helpful suggestions you may have. Focus Guardians, for this is the real battle.

1 ReplyBecause of people like you Destiny 2 is like that. You bent over and spread wide the second Bingo tells you to. You did that in Destiny and when the sex is good, people get used to it pretty fast, so since you let Bingo do whatever they want milking as much as possible, now you have Destiny 2 ... Keep sucking to Bingo they might give you an emblem. I personally can live with screw ups and mistakes - what I hate is lies. And Bingo has been lieing since I decided to become their customer - XP throttling, Faction rewards throttling and god knows what else is not what it is in this game. You have written your essay like you are being supportive or anything while in reality all you are doing is to bent over and take it in, in hopes that the next time it won't hurt so much. Keep doing that and Bingo will keep puting it in to you and everyone like you. I uninstalled long time ago, you should do it too ... there are some awesome games out there with great devs ...

Edited by Vampire Nox: 1/25/2018 3:08:55 PMF-you, and F your victim-blaming "it's really the community's fault, NEVER Bungie" attitude. Bungie deserves every bit of vitriol and acerbic commentary that gets thrown their way. YOu even said it yourself. The lies, abusive anti-consumer behavior, the lies about lies to cover yet more lies... all of it. Bungie deserves everything that gets thrown at them. I -pray- that Activi$ion decides that the Destiny franchise is "untenable" and seizes control of the Destiny IP (as they are fully allowed to do by the contract between Activi$ion and Bungie). Bungie would have to shutter it's doors, because Destiny is the only IP they have. Maybe then, it'll send a message throughout this industry that Gamers won't stand for these types of predatory business practices. But -blam!- that. Bungie deserves everything that they get.

Edited by Nox Lumina: 1/24/2018 9:40:46 AMI was patient for the longest time. I was okay with the game being ass because they said they'll fix it. But then they made a teensy-weensy but ever so crucial little tiny mistake: Fall 2018. Not this time Bungie. And if the next DLC is not going to be several leagues above the turd CoO was...Yeah.

1 ReplyOkay, calling the community "entitled" is the dumbest argument ever. If we pay $60 dollars and are the only things responsible for keeping a game alive you better be damn sure that it's good.
-
1 ReplyThey removed all of the rpg aspects to this build of the game. Trust me, it cannot be fixed. Their note to the community confirmed it in so many words just the same. D2 is not returning to a progression based rpg shooter the franchise started out as. I lasted a couple weeks. I have no idea how anyone can play a looter shooter with NO loot worth getting.
-
Bungie tells you their listening, they don't. They have said this for months yet the crap keeps happening.
-
That's right buddy. Stand up to these haters. Show Bungie you care by digging deep into your pockets and supporting the content. Limited content, on screen progression pixel manipulation, and algorithms that coerce you into making more and more in games purchases that will be unavailable the minute you don't by the most recent dlc won't stop a Gangsta like you. You'll show us. You'll show everyone.
-
Game batter you say.....so it is off to the fryer with it....

1 ReplyYeah, I'm going to question your intentions with this post. I remember a multitude of your posts on this website, and they're usually condescending and self-ego-stroking. For example, I tried explaining why I preferred to speed run strikes, and you kept insisting I was being a dick. Well, I posit that you're trying to display a positive but still "holier than thou" attitude to make yourself feel good from the replies. I thank you for your time.

And you are Bungie's ideal customer, OP.

2 RepliesEdited by Atomic: 1/22/2018 11:12:06 PMThen you're doing exactly what they want you to mindlessly giving them money. Tell me how it's not common sense to be pissed off about how little effort bungie put in. It's quite clear that their intention was to put as little effort as possible into it and get maximums profit. Learn to deal with what other people say. You must have some really thin skin.

Someone's looking for a open seat at the destiny 3 reveal^^^haha. Your just a number on a spreadsheet to bungie. They do not care about you, they just want you to open that purse of yours. And that's a fact.

3 Replieslol, OP states about the community, he is a part of btw: "they can be aggravatingly stupid, and devoid of any common sense..." 1st, "they?" That's all I will say about that. 2d. Common sense? Einstein once quoted that common sense is nothing more than the prejudices one acquires by age 18. Let's see. Listen to Einstein or listen to someone who calls everybody else stupid and devoid of common sense? I choose Einstein! Bungie are not your peers, nor mine but even if they were, calling the community stupid, other than yourself that is, would not be a wise choice of how to wield authority or show leadership.

Good for you. Right before you thrown your console out the window think of me. I’ll take it off your hands.

Lmao get a job

20 RepliesDude get off your imaginary high horse I've seen you attacking people for sharing their thoughts. Calling people entitled brats right after saying you don't add the toxicity is an oxymoron in itself. But gg, keep thinking you're above reproach.
-
3 RepliesYou are waaaayyyy to late to the party man. That bus has already come and gone and is now in the junkyard. Bungie will love to know that u care so much though lol.

Same, hopefully the people who state they are "leaving" actually 'leave' and the only remaining people are the ones who are true to themselves about the game.

TLDR; you're suffering from battered wife syndrome.
