  • How about power rubber-banding? One of my favorite things to do in a game where I gain levels and more powerful gear is to go back to much lower level mobs and absolutely stomp them like a god. Admittedly the mobs here that are lower level aren't too difficult but they are still able to kill you even if you're ten levels higher than they are. However if they're ten levels higher than you your guns don't even scratch them. You don't really get the full benefit of increasing your level too high because even at level 25 you hit a 10th level enemy like you were level 12. Power rubber banding. They have done it since D1. I could always just FEEL the game holding me back like that, nerfing the impact of my strikes and the power of my armor. You can't overlevel for PVE content in Destiny if that's how you want to play, Bungie doesn't want you to play like that. That is how I want to play. I don't PVP so who cares if I want to tear through lower level content like a chainsaw? Bungie does apparently.

  • If i paint a painting and sell it to you. it is no longer MY painting. I do not get to tell you where to hang it or stop you from lighting it on fire. I know this is an imperfect analogy because the game is always being worked on, but i think it holds. They are making it FOR us, once it is in our hands, they do not get to have a say in what we want to do with it. The point being that trying to Pigeon hole gamers into limited styles of play is a bad idea in general

None of us own Destiny; Bungie owns it. It's their IP so they can do whatever they want with it, unfortunately, that's why we're in this predicament at the moment.

  • Everyone is at least half right here. However, the game should be sold as a finished product, not work in progress. Bungie should create balance in their weapons and tune them so they are all viable for your or any playstyle. Problem is they have been unable to do so. Instead of limiting the balance issues they changed the sandbox to allow this so called perfect balance. Notice its still not balanced. It can never be truely balanced. However, balance took priority for them. They wanted to move pvp to esport level. Unfortunately, their decision lacked clarity and understanding of the game's uniqueness and what brought people to the game. Destiny was about abilities, powerful weapons, random roles, mobility and other variables which all contributed and enhanced the loot to be obtained. If you alter or remove these key core factors, the games uniqueness is lost where comparable games that have more content will attract these players. What made destiny fun and unique is gone or watered down. You would think a company in the business this long would know this. Destiny 2 is not a terrible game, however, it is a game that has not found itself and that is on Bungie. This is exactly the reason for all the issues and mess this game is in.

  • I should be able to play anyway I see fit,but when you start throttling, nerfs,Xp throttling, balancing, capping tokens,and countless other sneaky shit they do. It takes the fun out of playing the game. This could be the only game where the game developers are so disconnected from the player community. If you're throttling xp,tell us that and explain why you're doing it.
