twitter he states that this week there will not be any updates on the situation he says next week they will talk about it then finishes by saying the week after that, they will decide on including us in the decision so; at least 3 weeks

Probably a sensible course of action. We quite literally have the definition of a lynch mob on our hands at the moment. Give the masses a chance to simmer before dropping more bad news. A small fraction of reassurance (not whatever this is...) goes a long way though.
