so many mediocre 1.0-1.5 players are so sad that their gun is gone. all the good kids are happy. it took zero skill to use. the only skill involved was knowing when to back off around a corner early on console so that you wouldn't trade. easiest gun to use ever. destroyed the skill gap that this game had left. glad its nerfed. silly forums.

Actually, it's the quick-reacting players (which I'm not) that loved the Prometheus. My K/D took a nosedive once it entered PvP, even though ponce Xur showed up with it, I never used anything else. Now I'm back to Sweet Business, Vigilance Wing, and MIDA (on my three Guardians respectively), and my ratio is recovering. Point is, though, I didn't want my Prometheus to live as a nerf-gutted weapon. So, I ensured that she ceased to exist before the 12-12 patch dropped.

Back to the mida era why can’t bungie specifically nerf mida or last hope hmm they nerfed the arctypes they’re in but not the actual weapon itself don’t I recall hearing bungie say static rolls are so we can go in and adjust a single weapon if it’s too strong Yet the only solo nerf was with the PL

Because the MIDA is a very good weapon as it is, but not all that OP. It's only big advantage is Third Eye and the speed boost, which are what makes it exotic. I think other exotic primaries, like Sweet Business (in knowledgeable hands, nothing kills faster at any range) and Vigilance Wing (an efficient three-burst killer), are also quite good.
