Destiny 2 has to be one of thee fastest drops in price for a AAA release. Don’t forget about the “Free Trial” as well. There are games in the PS store from over a year ago still between $40-$60. Nobody is buying, noobs are bored & the veteran Destiny players are dropping like flies. Not surprising for a game that has been out over 3 months and had a DLC to buy if you want to be current - so a noob trying to get into Destiny 2 now buys the base game ($24) plus the CoO DLC ($20) and starts significantly behind where we all are now. That does not seem unreasonable to me. We early adopters always pay more.

1. Holiday season. 2. Digital sales are far outstripping physical copy sales for ALL games this fall. So retailers are marking down the discs in order to clear their inventory. But you will still pay $60 for it if you order a digital copy off of PSN.

It's a Christmas sale. The digital price for base D2, console, on Amazon remains $59.99. The price for base D2, on console on Best Buy.com is $39.99 The price for base D2, on console, on Gamestop.com is $39.99. WalMart has it down to $24.99 on console, with the PC version still at $59.99, because Amazon has never had a price that Walmart doesn't try to beat. It appears now that the console version is a few months old, it's fallen to $39.99 which is pretty much industry standard, and two companies famous for undercutting each other-go look up how they went to war over the Stephen King book Under the Dome, it was hilarious-have it lower than that. So: the digital version and the PC version remains at full price, the console version has fallen to the price it normally does after a few months, and Amazon and Walmart are having their customary pissing contest over pricing. I know that -blam!-s up your narrative here, but that's the numbers.

And I still won't buy it. Content = Anything contained within. Base game included the nightfall. When a Curse of Osirus map is Duplicitously repeated week after week, because Bungie have been nothing but repulsive with the exp throttling, the hiding of the doubling of the required exp after the change, not refunding anybody who paid for exp boosts and had them negated down to 4% BY the exp throttling,... They are still not getting it. There should be a vanilla map from the base game AVAILABLE as an audible nightfall for non-DLC players who bought that activity at launch while any of the Curse of Osiris content is available next to it for DLC owners as Bungie deems as nightfall worthy. If a friend of yours owns the CoO DLC, they should have the option to either play with you, a non dlc owner on a vanilla content map you bought for the nightfall activity you bought OR they can play their own Curse of Osiris map they bought in the nightfall activity they bought. It's not rocket science. That way, the DLC owner loses no access to the activity they bought and gets to play what they bought from the DLC. And the non-DLC owner can still play the ACTIVITY CONTENT that they bought, on the map they bought. No one loses anything that way. No one is locked out of what they bought. that way. They can still play with their End Game Rewards (that David Dague claims are our friends). And everyone still has access to their activity they paid for, their maps they paid for, and friends aren't kept from the option to play it together. If you can't come to the conclusion that playing a vanilla content nightfall activity you bought on a map you bought after you bought the CoO level increase won't grant you the appropriate light level gear then you couldn't care less about yer friend you want to play with Bungie was warned for three years to not lock bought maps and activities after they were purchased. I've got zero sympathy for their current exp throttling to force microtransactions negating bought experience boosts behavior. They only had 99,900 some PC pre-orders in the USA directly before PC launch. Those players only had six weeks of THROTTLED EXPERIENCE before getting their bought content locked. The hardcore community that continued to support the game bore the biggest loss on exp throttling to force engram purchases. During week 6-7 approx 5 mil players QUIT. CoO rests at a 1.5 rating on Metacritic last time I checked. Battlefront was 0.9 on Metacritic. Smh Not complicated. Bungie worked really diligently to have earned every lost player.
