Bungie does not warn, discuss, or overturn any ban or restriction. Simply put, if you get caught, you are banned and that is that.

  • As I already said, problem not in warning or discussion. Why I get notification by only one part of system(and most unstable part) ? Bungie has my e-mail, my profile id or some kind of it, access to my battle.net information , but looks like all those systems are not linked to destiny account. It sounds funny, but blizzard bans looks awesome after destiny. I know when and why I banned, know is ban temporary or for all time. And destiny ban is kind a "you banned! Why? Not your deal. Maybe we just don't like you."

  • You got banned. Bungie does not discuss bans or restrictions. Why is there no notification of your ban? Because Bungie does not discuss bans or restrictions.

and it's not a good practice. Okay, Bungie not discuss, they doesn't have enough people, or time for investigation, or both. It's not important. There two big weakspots. First : suppose that game application has an authorization bug and throws ban message by some not correct reason, for example for VPN users. User can not check that he is baned thru other services and it's not application issue. This site has access to players characters information, to their clans, even to recent activities. But not to banned status. It's weird. Even small service or application for ban checks will be good. You just input your id or email and service sent you status. All this situation looks like big architecture mistake, but "bungie does not discuss bans" so they may ignore this case. It very usefull. And authorization on PC goes through battle.net so any problems in it may lead to same problem. Second: Okay, I banned for a reason, I really violated some rules. But I did it accidently. No discussions , I just want fix this , to avoid such a problem in future. But I should fix what ? Unauthrized access to game recources? Some kind of network problems, for example Bungie find my proxy a suspicious network activity? Exploit usage? Obviosly I can not fix that, because I don't know what I should fix. And it leads to another unplesant situation: Imagine that ban was by third party issue, for example network issues. I use both VPN and proxy, so it pretty realistic scenario. Anyway problem is in network, I don't know about it and buy Destiny once again. Play week or two and will got ban once again. For same reason, but I don't know it. The problem is not my fault, not Bungie fault. But the problem is still a problem. And bans without explanation lead to not a problem, but a lot of useless work for support. Because there was another wave of unexpected bans and as you can see there a lot of threads about bans. I think with informative ban messages there will be much less such questions.
